Delivered in 2013, Vellmari is a 47.5m open yacht built by Italian shipyard Rossinavi. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Team For Design, while Arrabito Naval Architects is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.8m beam and a 1.65m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 496 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in February 2013 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in April 2013.
Exterior Design
Vellmari, the first yacht in Rossinavi’s Ketos series, makes an immediate impression with her sharp, futuristic profile, finished in a clean white with a contrasting dark canopy over the upper deck that adds to the sleek, low look. Her silhouette is defined by sweeping, aerodynamic lines that taper toward a fine bow, with details that feel both sculptural and functional.
One of her most distinctive features is the arrangement of windows. The four vertical strips set into the bow resemble powerful intakes, but in reality frame the owner’s suite. These are complemented by elongated horizontal hull windows, aligned precisely with the waterline to stretch the yacht’s appearance while flooding the lower deck cabins with light. A band of glazing runs along the main deck, accentuating her length and creating an unbroken visual flow. Together, these elements give the yacht a dynamic, modern aesthetic that feels in motion even at rest.
Although she is technically described as a two-and-a-half deck yacht, she functions as a full tri-deck with a layout that surprises for a 48m (157.5ft) platform. The upper deck is one of her most remarkable outdoor spaces. Forward it carries the bridge and helm, while aft it opens into a large dining area, lounge, and bar. A circular spa pool sits at the heart of this deck, cleverly enclosed by glass. Its sliding two-part door allows it to merge into the aft terrace or remain part of the interior, depending on how the space is arranged.
Teak decking is used throughout to create visual continuity between indoor and outdoor zones. Advanced engineering also allows for four electrically operated windows, each over two metres in length, to be lowered at the sides, while a section of the roof slides back. This transforms the upper deck into an open-air retreat at the push of a button. Sunbeds stretch across the aft section, and when evening falls, carefully designed exterior lighting brings the yacht to life, cascading light from her openings and glazing so she glows against the water.
Interior Design
Inside, Vellmari reflects a different design philosophy to her modern exterior. The owner requested a more traditional atmosphere, drawing on materials that had been used aboard his previous yachts. The interior scheme was therefore based around high-gloss cherry wood, the first non-negotiable element of the brief. To avoid overwhelming the spaces, the cherry was applied as a framework across vertical and horizontal planes, contrasted with expansive light-coloured surfaces. The result is a classic-meets-contemporary look that feels warm and timeless rather than heavy.
Onyx stone features prominently in decorative areas, often backlit to add depth and subtle glow. Straight lines dominate the overall layout, punctuated by occasional curves in the saloon to create a gentle rhythm against the modern exterior.
The main deck contains the dining area, galley, saloon and lobby. A striking spiral staircase in the lobby is crowned by a bespoke light fixture made of concentric steel circles inlaid with Swarovski crystals. These diffuse hidden LED lighting to create a star-like effect. Indirect lighting is used throughout the interior, designed to produce dramatic effects when dimmed at night.
Bars are another recurrent feature, with three in total: one on the upper deck, one on the main deck’s sundeck area, and another in the saloon. Each has been tailored with personalised finishes and upholstery, alongside a mixture of bespoke free-standing furniture and carefully selected production pieces customised by artisans.
Accommodation
The owner’s suite is forward on the main deck, a full-beam retreat bathed in natural light from the vertical windows that rise high into the bow. Free-standing furniture here provides flexibility and a sense of open space.
On the lower deck, accommodation is arranged as a large full-beam VIP cabin and two guest staterooms. One guest cabin is fitted with a king-sized bed, while the other offers twin berths. Together, they provide comfortable quarters for family or friends, with large windows offering views close to the waterline.
She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M94) 2,600hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Vellmari is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. She has a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Vellmari also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
