The Sunreef Ultima 55 is built at the shipyard's Ras Al Khaimah facility in the UAE. Featuring exterior design, interiors and naval architecture by Sunreef Yachts, the composite catamaran combines foil-assisted hull technology with IPS propulsion and flexible accommodation for up to eight guests.
Expansive outdoor living
The motor yacht is designed around open-air living, with an aft cockpit that connects directly to the main saloon, creating a continuous space for dining and relaxation. Two fold-down bulwark platforms extend the usable deck area, increasing the yacht's beam from 5.6m to approximately 7.6m when deployed. Oversized sunpads provide space for lounging close to the water, while the extended aft area is also suited to swimming and watersports. The model won Best Exterior Catamaran at the World Yachts Trophies 2025, recognising its distinctive approach to exterior design.
Contemporary and customisable living spaces
Inside, the yacht features a contemporary, open-plan arrangement designed to maximise natural light and views of the surrounding water. The main-deck saloon incorporates a dining area alongside comfortable seating, with large windows creating a bright interior atmosphere. Sliding doors connect the saloon to the aft cockpit, allowing the two areas to function as one social space. Sunreef offers a selection of bespoke finishes, furnishings and layout configurations, allowing owners to personalise the interior to suit their cruising preferences.
Flexible three or four-cabin layout
The Ultima 55 accommodates six guests in its standard three-cabin configuration, comprising an en-suite owner's cabin, an additional en-suite double cabin and a bunk cabin. An optional four-cabin arrangement increases accommodation to eight guests, providing flexibility for families or larger groups. The twin-hull design allows guest accommodation to be distributed across both hulls, while a separate crew cabin can accommodate up to two crew members.
Foil-assisted IPS propulsion
The catamaran features a foil-assisted twin-hull design that generates additional lift at speed while maintaining contact with the water. Powered by twin 600hp Volvo Penta D8-IPS800 engines, the catamaran can reach a maximum speed of 36 knots and cruise at approximately 25 knots, with a range of 240 nautical miles at 20 knots. An alternative twin 480hp Volvo Penta D6-IPS650 configuration offers a maximum speed of 35 knots. Hybrid propulsion and solar charging are also available.
Sunreef Ultima 55 at FLIBS 2026
The Ultima 55's US debut will introduce visitors to Sunreef's approach to high-performance power catamarans, with its foil-assisted hull design, expandable aft deck and customisable interiors. The model was also nominated in the Powercats category at the 2026 European Powerboat Awards.
