The growth outlook comes despite a more complex market environment, where slowing demand, competitive pressures, and new U.S. tariffs on superyachts under 30 meters have challenged much of the industry.
With a €2.5 billion order backlog extending through 2029, the Italian shipyard is navigating these headwinds from a position of strength: "The Group’s strategies have made and will make the difference: innovative yachts and the correct positioning of the Azimut and Benetti brands, a broad-based international presence and ongoing production evolution" said Azimut|Benetti CEO, Marco Valle.

Strategic Growth Drivers
The group has highlighted three core drivers shaping its growth trajectory within the motor yacht industry:
- €115 million infrastructure investments across its Italian shipyards between 2024 and 2027, including upgrades at Avigliana to accommodate yachts up to 28 meters, and new specialist hubs for light steel and composites.
- Continuous product innovation, with the expansion of the Azimut Seadeck and Grande Series, as well as new evolutions from Benetti Oasis and Benetti B.Yond families.
- Balanced international presence, with backlog distribution of 38% in Europe, 31% in the Americas, and 31% in EMEA–APAC, supported by targeted expansion in high-potential markets such as Saudi Arabia.

After a period of unprecedented growth, we are now experiencing a normalisation of the market.

Portfolio Evolution
Azimut’s new Seadeck 9 builds on its hybrid-electric innovation, complementing the Seadeck 7 and setting a new benchmark for sustainable yachting under 30 meters. The Grande Series is also being refreshed with design contributions from the Italian architecture firm m2atelier, introducing a philosophy of “barefoot luxury” with more fluid, natural spaces.

Benetti is strengthening its position in megayachts, unveiling the Oasis 42 at the Cannes Yachting Festival, an evolution of the best-selling Oasis 40M, with new contemporary styling by RWD and interiors from Bonetti/Kozerski. Looking ahead, Azimut is preparing a new voyager concept, while Benetti will debut an entirely new category blending motor yacht comfort with sailing yacht influences.
Order Book Insights: Azimut and Benetti
According to YachtBuyer Market Watch, which tracks all orders over 24m, Azimut’s strength lies in the 30-45m semi-custom sector. The Grande 44M and 38m Grande Trideck proving especially popular among owners seeking volume, flexibility, and innovative layouts below the 500GT threshold. Models like the Grande 36M and Magellano 30M also show strong appeal, balancing practicality with luxury and attracting both seasoned and first-time superyacht buyers.

Benetti, meanwhile, is anchored firmly in the 40–80m superyacht class, reflecting its leadership in larger custom and semi-custom builds. At the top end, headline projects such as the 80m Iron Man and the 72m and 67m B.Now series underline Benetti’s ultra-luxury credentials. In the core range, the B.Now 50 series remains a bestseller thanks to shorter build times and flexible layouts, while the Motopanfilo 45M, Class 44M, and Oasis 40M broaden appeal with distinctive designs and lifestyle-led concepts.
Together, the order books highlight the complementary strengths of Azimut|Benetti: Azimut dominating in versatile semi-custom superyachts under 45m, and Benetti consolidating its leadership in the 50m-plus market where bespoke luxury defines the brand.
Market Dynamics
The Americas remain strategically important but face headwinds from newly introduced U.S. tariffs on yachts under 30 meters. This mirrors pressures highlighted in the results of other industry players, including Ferretti and dealers like MarineMax. To reinforce its position, Azimut|Benetti will open exclusive boutiques at Fort Lauderdale’s Pier Sixty-Six in autumn 2025.
Meanwhile, the Middle East is emerging as the fastest-growing region, with over €300 million in sales in Saudi Arabia in the past 24 months and new offices planned in Jeddah and Riyadh. Europe continues to provide strong baseline demand, while Asia-Pacific maintains steady growth supported by long-standing dealer networks.
Outlook
Azimut|Benetti’s forecasted 15% revenue growth in 2024/25 highlights the Group’s ability to defy broader market caution by leveraging its diverse portfolio, international reach, and commitment to innovation. With a €2.5 billion backlog and major new models set to debut, the Group is positioned to maintain momentum even in a more challenging environment.
