The shipyard marked the occasion with three world debuts, future flagship announcements, and a renewed focus on culture and sustainability.
Two Decades of Transformation
When Massimo Perotti joined Sanlorenzo in 2004, revenues stood at just €42 million. A year later he assumed ownership of the company, beginning a period of measured expansion that redefined Sanlorenzo’s place in global yachting. Two decades on, annual revenues are set to surpass €1 billion, supported by an order backlog of €1.44 billion as of mid-2025.
Our order intake particularly for yachts of 30 metres and above confirms the vitality of our made to measure philosophy, our scarcity driven model, and the success of our strategic entry into sailing with Nautor Swan."

The Group’s portfolio now spans six specialist shipyards across Italy and three distinct brands: Sanlorenzo for motor and superyachts, Bluegame for crossover models, and Nautor Swan for sailing.
Beyond growth in scale, Perotti has positioned Sanlorenzo as a cultural reference point, fusing naval architecture with Italian design, partnering with studios such as Piero Lissoni, Patricia Urquiola, and Dordoni Architetti, and championing initiatives in art and sustainability.
Global Debuts at Cannes 2025
At the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, Sanlorenzo showcased a fleet of 10 yachts in Vieux-Port, with nearly 300 meters of combined length. At the heart of the display were three global premieres: the SX120, SL110A, and SD132.
- SX120 – the new flagship of Sanlorenzo’s crossover range, designed by Zuccon International Project with interiors by Lissoni & Partners. The yacht combined the spirit of an explorer with the luxury of a flybridge, defined by clean exterior lines and versatile interior layouts
- SD132 – at 40.7 meters and 420 GT, the largest composite yacht ever built by Sanlorenzo. Its design included rotating terraces in the beach club, a transparent foredeck pool, and a vast flybridge.
- SL110A – the latest in Sanlorenzo’s asymmetrical line, which introduced new architectural solutions to maximize space and connection with the sea. The 33-meter model featured a wide-body owner’s suite with forward pool access, alongside a top speed of 27 knots.
Further premieres will follow in the final quarter, including a new concept for Sanlorenzo that embodies our pursuit of everlasting beauty and innovation."

These premieres were joined by a broad showcase of models, including the SP92 and SL86A. The display also featured the SL90A and SD90, alongside the larger SD96. Rounding out the lineup were the SX100 and SX88. Together, the fleet underscored Sanlorenzo’s position as one of the most complete monobrand portfolios in yachting.
Flagships and Future Concepts
During the festival, Sanlorenzo also confirmed its next milestones. The 74Steel, its largest yacht to date, is scheduled to launch in October 2025 at La Spezia. A new heritage-meets-technology concept is due to be revealed before year-end, described as a project blending tradition with modernity.
The Group highlighted upcoming developments across its brands: the expansion of Sanlorenzo’s asymmetric line, new projects for Nautor Swan, and Bluegame’s BGX83 flagship. Bluegame also used Cannes to premiere the BGF45 multihull, featuring foil-assisted technology derived from America’s Cup projects, while Nautor Swan presented the new Swan 51, the smallest yacht in its current performance cruiser range.
Sustainability on the Road to 2030
Sustainability featured prominently in Sanlorenzo’s messaging. The company reiterated its “Road to 2030” strategy, which places low-impact propulsion at the core of product development.
Recent milestones included the 2024 delivery of the first 50Steel superyacht with onboard fuel cell technology and the launch of hydrogen-powered Bluegame tenders for the America’s Cup. The next step will be the introduction of a green methanol bi-fuel engine on the 50 X-Space, now scheduled for later this decade when infrastructure for methanol supply is more widely available. Sanlorenzo projects the technology could reduce emissions by up to 70 percent.
By timing the market launch with global readiness, Sanlorenzo aims to ensure maximum impact while leading the industry into a new era of sustainable propulsion.
Sanlorenzo's Culture and Community
Cannes also provided a platform to highlight Sanlorenzo’s cultural initiatives. Earlier this year, the company inaugurated Casa Sanlorenzo in Venice during the first edition of Venice Climate Week. Conceived as a hub for art, design, and sustainability under the banner of Sanlorenzo Arts, the space opened with Breathtaking, an exhibition by photographer Fabrizio Ferri addressing the consequences of plastic pollution in the oceans.
Through these programs, together with the work of Fondazione Sanlorenzo, the company continues to define luxury as more than yacht ownership - positioning it as a dialogue between craft, culture, and environmental responsibility.
Also, by bringing together Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, and Nautor Swan, the Group is able to cover the full spectrum of yachting, from compact models like the SX88 and SL86A to superyachts such as the SD132 and the coming 74Steel. Bluegame pushes boundaries with designs like the SP92, BGX83, and BGF45, while Nautor Swan expands its performance cruiser range with the Swan 51.
Looking Forward
As Sanlorenzo celebrated two decades of leadership under Massimo Perotti, the outlook is defined by stability and ambition: robust financials, continued product innovation, larger and more advanced flagships, and a commitment to culture and sustainability.
From the asymmetry of the SL110A to the eco-conscious engineering of the 50 X-Space, from the crossover character of the SX120 to the scale of the 74Steel, the company continues to push boundaries.
Twenty years on, Sanlorenzo stands as both builder and cultural leader, crafting yachts that express design excellence, technological progress, and a forward-looking vision of contemporary luxury.
