First 42m GX Superyachts GX42 RPH Motor Yacht Merinos Launched Ahead of Monaco Yacht Show Debut

Superyacht Merinos has been launched, marking a major milestone for the new brand ahead of the yacht's world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026.

The 42m GX42 RPH has been built by GX Superyachts with SES Yachts in Türkiye, with design by Marco Casali of Too Design and naval architecture by NAMES by Francesco Rogantin. The aluminium raised pilothouse yacht features hybrid propulsion, solar technology and lithium battery storage, and will now complete final outfitting and sea trials ahead of her debut.

Low-profile lines establish the GX Superyachts identity

As the first yacht from GX Superyachts, the GX42 RPH provides the first physical expression of a brand introduced at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2024 by the team behind Greenline Yachts. Marco Casali has given the raised pilothouse yacht a low-profile contemporary exterior, with flowing lines and a curved superstructure crowned by a sleek upper deck. The yacht forms part of a wider GX range planned between 24m and 56m, with the brand carrying more than 15 years of experience in hybrid propulsion and energy management into the superyacht sector.

Sea-facing spaces extend across the decks

The motor yacht is designed around outdoor living and a close connection to the water, with the raised pilothouse creating space for a large open upper deck. A private foredeck terrace extends the owner's accommodation outdoors, while aft social areas are configured for dining and relaxation. The upper deck adds more seating, sunbathing space, a bar, and a Jacuzzi, while the yacht's wider exterior concept includes a beach club with fold-down sections that increase usable area at water level.

Five cabins support extended family cruising

Accommodation is provided for up to 10 guests across five cabins. The interior is also the work of Marco Casali and continues the exterior's understated approach, using clean architectural lines, natural materials and a restrained finish intended to suit extended periods aboard. The layout is headed by the owner's accommodation on the main deck, while the wider guest arrangement has been developed around flexible family cruising and easy transitions between the yacht's interior and exterior spaces.

Hybrid system targets quieter, lower-impact operation

The GX42 RPH features parallel diesel-electric hybrid propulsion, solar arrays and a large lithium battery bank. It can remain in zero-emissions mode for up to 48 hours at anchor, while its energy systems can reduce onboard electricity consumption by up to 45%. The 353GT yacht has an 8.5m beam, a 1.9m draft, a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 11,571 nautical miles at six knots.

After launch, she will complete outfitting and sea trials before making her public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, two years after GX Superyachts introduced its brand and hybrid-focused approach at the event.
