Moored against the dramatic skyline of Lower Manhattan on June 17 and 18, the 24m Pershing sport yacht drew attention from industry figures, yachting enthusiasts, and casual passersby alike.
A Landmark Arrival During Pershing’s 40th Anniversary Year
The New York appearance marks the opening leg of a broader East Coast tour for the GTX80, part of a commemorative campaign celebrating Pershing’s 40th anniversary. This is the second model in the Pershing GTX range, introduced as a performance-forward alternative for owners seeking sporty styling with added volume and outdoor space.

The GTX80 will continue its American journey in early July, with upcoming stops scheduled in Montauk (from July 1), Newport (from July 12), and later the Hamptons. Each destination of the sports yacht has been selected to reflect the yacht’s positioning in the American market - performance-driven yet designed for laid-back social cruising.
Performance and Layout Highlights of the Pershing GTX80
Measuring 23.98 meters (78.7 feet) with a beam of 5.86 meters (19.2 feet), the GTX80 offers an open stern area with a beach club layout and fold-out platforms for added lounging space. This format gives the motor yacht a strong lifestyle appeal without compromising the sporty lines and performance standards Pershing is known for.

Interior styling on board the yacht leans heavily on Pershing’s signature blend of carbon fiber detailing, sporty color palettes, and contemporary Italian materials. The galley is positioned on the main deck - an increasingly common layout for yachts in this size range targeting family use and social occasions.

The GTX80 is powered by triple Volvo Penta D13 IPS1350 engines, delivering a top speed of 34 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. The use of IPS drives provides tighter turning and improved fuel efficiency while freeing up space in the lower deck thanks to the compact engine room layout.

According to Pershing, updates from the East Coast journey will be shared via the shipyard’s and Allied Marine’s social media channels, offering real-time coverage from each port. The tour is expected to continue through summer 2025, with possible additional stops based on interest and client demand.
A New Addition to the Pershing GTX Range
The Pershing GTX80 is the second model in the Sport Utility Yachts range, positioned between the flagship GTX116 and the entry-level GTX70. All three are built in fiberglass or composite and emphasize high performance, expanded outdoor areas, and flexible interiors designed for relaxed coastal cruising.
The Pershing GTX116 is the largest in the range at 35.24 meters (115.6 feet) and accommodates up to 10 guests in five cabins. Powered by triple MAN V12 engines, she reaches speeds up to 35.5 knots and has earned multiple design accolades, including Best Innovation at the 2023 World Yachts Trophies.

The Pershing GTX70, currently in production, measures 21.76 meters (71.4 feet) and reaches over 36 knots. It includes three guest cabins, a widebody layout with fold-down bulwarks, and a three-level beach platform with lift and integrated stairs. In YachtBuyer's detailed review of the Pershing GTX70, Jack Haines highlighted the model's owner-friendly handling, strong build quality, and clever aft deck design, positioning it as an accessible entry point into the GTX series.
With its East Coast tour now underway, the Pershing GTX80 steps confidently into the spotlight as a key part of Pershing’s evolving Sport Utility Yachts line. Positioned between the GTX116 and GTX70, it brings together performance, livability, and striking design in a format well suited to the American market.
