On Deck
The Viking 64 is built as a lean, mean fishing machine with an unmistakable profile defined by its S-shaped sheer, bold hull-side vents and black-masked windscreen. Like many tournament-bred Vikings, the 64 foregoes a swim platform to keep the cockpit clear for serious fishing. The cockpit itself spans 180 square feet and is all about functional and movement. You get a teak-decked surface underfoot, bare and beautiful, with everything from flush rod holders to a transom live well, in-deck fish and stowage boxes, and gaff storage lockers.
A large lazarette hatch, available with power actuation, offers a full view of the Seakeeper 26 gyro and access to trim tabs and pumps. The cockpit also includes stereo speakers, a quick disconnect oil change fitting, and backing for a fighting chair or rocket launcher. The observation mezzanine keeps guests cool and dry under the flybridge overhang, with mezzanine air conditioning as an option. Under the seating, there are designated freezers, coolers, and a tackle cabinet. A separate ice maker produces up to 272kg (600lbs) of ice daily, feeding into a split icebox setup for icing down catches.
Up front, the bow is unusually clean, with gear tucked out of sight and wood-effect detailing on the toe rail that's actually hand-painted. This model isn’t fitted with a traditional windlass or anchor locker. Instead, it carries a large manual fortress-style anchor on brackets, with a hose for deck washdown nearby. It's clear this boat is meant to drift, fish, and return to dock without the need for anchoring overnight.
The open foredeck can double as tender storage, with the option to mount a crane, while overhead, the tuna tower crowns the yacht.
Interior Accommodation
The interior of the Viking 64 blends sportfishing DNA with serious yacht comfort. A powered sliding salon door reveals a wide-open space lined in horizontal natural walnut cabinetry, available in satin or high-gloss finish. This horizontal grain is part of Viking's more "yachty" aesthetic shift. The joinery is superb, and there's abundant hidden tackle storage integrated into the cabinetry.
The portside hosts a 50-inch pop-up TV and control cabinet with the OptoPlex system for managing electrical systems, low and high voltage breakers, and generator switching. To starboard, an L-shaped lounge with deep storage below surrounds a walnut cocktail table, while the raised dinette seats four and conceals rod storage beneath.
The galley runs along the starboard side and includes a Miele four-burner cooktop, microwave/convection oven, and extensive refrigeration with two Sub-Zero fridges and a freezer in deep pull-out drawers. Custom Amtico flooring and engineered stone counters complete the look. A raised bar with stools adds extra prep and social space. Overhead storage lockers feature pull-out drawers for easier access to deep cabinets. Though this model forgoes a dishwasher, the galley compensates with sheer refrigeration volume and smart storage.
There are two TVs in the salon, allowing for a sports-bar-style setup. Throughout the living space, indirect lighting, integrated tackle solutions, and a balance of modern and functional finishes continue Viking’s dual mission: fish hard, relax harder.
Owner's Cabin
Positioned amidships on the starboard side, the master stateroom is richly finished in contrasting tones, with satin-varnished walls and subtle reflective accents in the furniture. The space includes a walk-around queen bed with four drawers beneath and additional hidden storage accessed by lifting the bed platform. Two hanging lockers and a dresser-style credenza provide ample storage, and there's an HD TV mounted across from the bed.
The ensuite bathroom is spacious, with upper and lower vanities, curved walnut cabinetry, and a walk-in shower complete with a bench. Fixtures are finished in satin nickel, and the headroom is generous. More tucked-away storage is found bedside, behind doors, and even behind panels.
Guest Accommodation
The VIP stateroom sits forward and feels notably tall, thanks to a raised floor step. It offers a queen-size walk-around berth with deep storage underneath, twin hanging lockers, cabinetry to port and starboard, a TV, and a large overhead hatch for ventilation and light. The ensuite head features a one-person shower and the same thoughtful finish as the master.
On the port side, there’s a guest stateroom with over-under twin bunks. The upper is slightly wider, offering a bit more comfort for adult guests. Storage includes a hanging locker, drawers, and another TV. Maple-lined lockers and indirect rope lighting keep the look polished.
Crew Accommodation
Aft on the port side is a fourth cabin, often used as crew quarters but equally viable for extra guests or kids. It includes stacked bunks, rod or clothing storage, and access to the day head opposite. The head is fitted with a standing shower, medicine cabinet, and under-sink storage. While compact, it's well-executed and comfortable enough for extended use.
Behind a door along the companionway is a full-size washer and dryer set, with an adjacent linen locker for practical long-haul convenience. Like the rest of the interior, finishes remain consistent and high quality throughout.
Performance
Accessed via the cockpit mezzanine hatch, the engine room is bright and well-laid out, coated in Snow White Awlgrip to show if there are any problems. Power comes from twin MTU 12V 2000 M96X engines, delivering a 35-knot cruise and up to 40 knots flat out. The space houses twin Onan 21.5 kW gensets, an OptoPlex control screen, and a Dometic watermaker with Spot Zero for ultra-pure water.
Forward in the space is the retractable Furuno sonar tube, which scans forward at adjustable depths and angles for fish. Also on board are systems for oil transfer, engine and generator service, chilled water air-conditioning with labelled chillers, and extensive battery storage in fiberglass boxes. The engine room ventilation and fire suppression systems are professionally installed, rounding out a technical space built for performance and longevity.
In Summary
The Viking 64 may be a tournament-class fishing yacht, but it delivers far more than bare-bones sportfishing. With four full cabins, a proper salon and galley, a helm that’s as geek-worthy as they come, and an engineered cockpit ready for the circuit, this is a serious platform with luxury polish. Whether you’re backing down on a marlin or cruising home at 35 knots, the 64 keeps guests cool, crew functional, and fish on ice. It's clean, fast, cleverly laid out, and unmistakably Viking.
