YachtBuyer - Hall of Fame 2024 Winners

The YachtBuyer 5 Star Rating is reserved for the most accomplished yachts we review, and very few manage to reach that criterion. Across 57 in-depth assessments completed throughout 2024, only three yachts met the standard - just over 5 percent of all yachts tested.

Our 2024 review work took us across 6 countries, giving us a broad view of the year’s new launches in very different markets. The schedule covered Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, and the Netherlands, providing access to a wide range of builders and design approaches. This international spread helped us evaluate multiple sizes and styles so the final selections would stay relevant for readers with varied interests.

The models below excelled through design quality, practicality, and performance under real conditions - here's why.

  1. Cantiere delle Marche Flexplorer 146/4 - Maverick impressed through its ability to support long-range travel without sacrificing comfort. The owner’s deck, technical spaces, and thoughtful detailing created a platform built for genuine autonomy, backed by a purposeful hull and a layout suited to extended time aboard.
  2. Princess S72 (Mk2) - The S72 delivered a rare mix of high performance, confident handling, and a layout that worked well at sea and in harbor. The full-beam owner’s suite, practical deck flow, and refined ride quality made it stand out as one of the strongest sportsbridge cruisers tested this year.
  3. Azimut Verve 48 - The Verve 48 earned its position through its fast, composed cruising and a deck arrangement that made long days on the water straightforward. Its triple V12 outboards, updated cockpit, and improved movement around the boat produced a capable and polished weekender.

Three outstanding inductees this year, the globetrotting CdM Flexplorer, Princess's perfect all-rounder and one of Azimut's most successful models in its history. Another great example of the variety of products that have been awarded the coveted YB 5 Star Trophy.
