Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11m beam and a 3.37m draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 1,219 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in October 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in February 2016.
Exterior Design
The first thing that stands out on Just J's is the amount of glass. Large tinted windows run through the superstructure and bring strong horizontal definition to the profile, while the glazing also floods the interior with daylight and opens wide views out from the main guest spaces. On the owner’s deck, some of the glass panels curve around the aft corners rather than terminating into posts, which helps soften the structure and gives the saloon a cleaner finish.
The broad 11m (36.09ft) beam gives Just J’s a notably wide stance, and that width is felt outside as well as in. Wide side decks improve circulation around the yacht, while the stepped deck arrangement creates a series of outdoor spaces with very different moods. The owner’s deck aft works as the main al fresco dining area, the private owner’s terrace sits more discreetly to the side, and the sundeck becomes the yacht’s main open-air leisure zone.
That sundeck is one of the defining exterior features. A large glass-sided countercurrent pool sits beneath the support arch, while a shaded bar and lounge area behind it make the whole deck feel sociable rather than purely decorative. The owners also reworked the exterior seating and added awnings for shade, so the decks are set up for long days outside rather than brief stops between interior spaces.
Elsewhere, the aft main deck has a more formal tone, with cooler blue and silver accents, while a sliding hatch in the deck leads directly down to the gym below. At the stern, the shell doors open out to create a beach-style recreation area, which gives the yacht a more relaxed waterside character when the toys are cleared.
Interior Design
The interior of Just J’s was completely rethought for her current owners, who wanted a lighter and more casual atmosphere than the yacht’s original, darker scheme. Sinot responded with what is best described as a contemporary beach-house look, so pale finishes, hardwood floors and colour-led detailing now shape the yacht’s main personality.
That change is most obvious in the main saloon, which is a very large open room arranged in three parts. There is a lounge area aft, a transition space for cards or games in the middle, and a 14-seat dining table forward, so the room can handle both family use and larger gatherings without feeling overly formal. Because the scale is generous, furniture is kept away from the windows and there is still plenty of room to move around.
The centre of the yacht is organised around wide stairs that wrap around a glass lift, and that circulation core gives the interior a strong architectural focus. Sinot also introduced a bend in the main-deck guest corridor, which avoids the long straight sightline often found in yachts of this size and gives the accommodation area more privacy.
Colour is used with more confidence than in many Northern European interiors. Each deck and cabin has its own accent palette, while the custom rugs help tie the spaces together and add some softness to the hardwood floors. The rugs were designed as a major part of the interior scheme, so they do more than fill the floor - they define zones, shift the mood from deck to deck, and help the whole yacht feel cohesive.
Up on the bridge deck, the cinema room is another good example of the redesign. What had once been a darker party room was stripped back and rebuilt as a calmer family space with whitewashed oak flooring, softer finishes and a 96-inch screen. It suits the owners’ use of the yacht far better, and it fits the overall tone of the rest of the interior.
Accommodation
Just J’s accommodates up to 14 guests in seven cabins, and the layout makes unusually good use of the yacht’s volume.
The owner’s suite sits on its own dedicated deck, which was one of the key attractions for the current owners. The room was heavily reworked during the redesign, as the original arrangement left the space feeling too open and underused. Sinot flipped the layout, centred the bed beneath a large skylight dome, and introduced separate his-and-hers dressing rooms and en suites, as well as a private office. A door leads straight out to the owner’s private deck area, where there is a spa pool and sunpads, so the whole deck feels like a genuine retreat rather than simply a large cabin.
Five guest cabins are located on the main deck, which is still unusual and highly desirable at this size. Their elevated position gives them much better views and more daylight than lower-deck accommodation would allow, and it also frees the lower deck for more flexible use. Forward on the main deck, a VIP suite sits alongside the guest corridor and benefits from the same light-filled layout as the surrounding cabins.
The two remaining guest cabins sit on the lower deck. One is a twin and one is a double, and the arrangement allows them to work either as a family suite or as guest and staff accommodation depending on the owners’ needs.
Crew areas were also carefully planned. The five-deck structure allowed the crew mess and laundry to be moved down to the tank deck, so noise stays away from the sleeping cabins above, and that in turn allowed larger crew cabins and better back-of-house circulation. A dumbwaiter and discreet service doors help the crew move around the yacht efficiently without intruding on guest areas.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512C) 369hp engines running at 1500rpm, motor yacht Just J’s is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 120,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down and an elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible. Just J’s also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
