Luminance is a 138.8m motor yacht delivered by German shipyard Lurssen in 2024. She features exterior design by Espen Oeino and interior styling by Zuretti.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 21m beam and a 5.3m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 9,861 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Construction started in early 2020. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in February 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in January 2024.
Exterior Design
Luminance is a 138.8m (455.4ft) Lürssen superyacht with exterior design by Espen Øino. Her scale is huge, but the profile stays sharp and controlled, with a traditional raked bow, long foredeck and stacked deck lines that run almost the full length of the yacht.
The finish gives Luminance much of her identity. A dark blue hull sits below a silver superstructure, but the blue is also carried into tiered strips across the upper decks. These bands cut through the otherwise silver structure and make the profile look lower, longer and more technical than a plain white yacht of this size would. Øino has also shaped the overhangs to create the visual hint of reverse sheer amidships, which gives the side profile a striking tension.
The mast arrangement is unusual and highly architectural. Instead of one simple central mast, Luminance has a dark, stacked tower with multiple domes, twin vertical exhausts and a cluster of antenna structures rising through the centreline. It adds height and drama to the top of the yacht, while the dark finish ties it back to the blue hull and glazing.
Luminance has two helicopter landing areas, one on the foredeck and another high aft, which points to long-range guest movement and remote cruising capability. The foredeck helipad sits within a vast teak expanse, while the aft helipad is worked into the upper deck structure without breaking the yacht’s stepped profile.
Aft, the yacht has a large beach club, an infinity pool and broad terraces that step down toward the swim platform. There is also a private spa pool forward on what appears to be an owner’s deck, adding a quieter retreat away from the main guest areas. The result is a yacht with the reach and gear of a serious global cruiser, but with enough deck variety to avoid feeling cold or purely technical.

Luminance offers accommodation for up to 40 guests in 20 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 24 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MAN (16V28/33D) 16-cylinder 9,789hp engines running at 1000rpm, motor yacht Luminance is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. For the ultimate relaxation experience, the yacht plays host to a luxury spa. Waterfront living can be enjoyed to the fullest, thanks to a large beach club and connecting swim platform with plenty of space for sitting back and admiring the sea views. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
