  • Open galley with island layout
  • Enclosed sky lounge
  • Full-beam beach club with bar
  • ABT stabilisers for smooth cruising

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.4m beam and a 1.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 160 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the twentieth yacht built on the E88 design.

Exterior Design

Q is a Horizon E88 with exterior lines designed by John Lindblom, showcasing a clean, traditional profile with a gently curved sheer and raked supports for the upper deck. Her appearance balances elegance with practicality, defined by oversized side windows and subtle detailing that avoids visual clutter. She sits on a planing GRP hull with extended strakes and chines running from bow to stern, designed for efficient, stable cruising in a variety of conditions. A shallow draft makes her well-suited to cruising shallow waters like those found in the Bahamas.

At the transom, a full-beam hydraulic swim platform offers a 1,134kg (2,500lb) lift capacity, ideal for launching a tender or storing water toys such as jet skis. Just above, a beach club creates a casual waterside hangout, shaded by the open stern door and outfitted with a bar, cooktop, and television. Only a handful of E88s were configured with this additional lounging space at water level, which also doubles as a crew mess when needed.

Up on the aft deck, a high-low table surrounded by sofa seating provides a relaxed dining or cocktail area. There’s a walkaround bar and a drop-down 32-inch TV, with direct stair access to the bridge. Forward on the bow, the foredeck features a spacious sun pad, sofa-style seating, and a Cambria table that transforms the space into a forward lounge or dining area - ideal for slow cruising in good weather.

Above, the exterior bridge deck extends the yacht’s outdoor living capacity even further. This area includes settee seating, generous storage, space for a propane grill, refrigeration, a sink, and a davit with a 793.8kg (1,750lb) lift capacity for additional tender or toy storage.

With its enclosed sky lounge, Q creates a quiet haven away from the main deck buzz.

Interior Design

Inside, Q's main salon is filled with natural light, thanks to the large windows built into her superstructure. The interior leans toward a soft, classic palette, with semi-gloss teak cabinetry, a walnut sole, and refined finishes throughout. A marble foyer leads into the salon, where an L-shaped leather sofa to port and a loveseat to starboard create a comfortable conversation zone.

Forward, the formal dining area offers seating for eight and includes extra cabinetry for glassware and service items, as well as a built-in wine cooler and icemaker. A dayhead is positioned nearby for convenience, and there’s internal access to the crew quarters located just aft.

The galley adopts a country-style layout, centred around a marble-topped island with open sightlines all the way to the aft deck. The space is fitted with high-end appliances, including a Sub-Zero fridge with drawer freezers, a GE microwave convection oven above a four-burner cooktop, a full-size oven below, a dishwasher, and a double sink. A high-low glass partition can be raised to separate the galley from the dining area if privacy is required during food preparation. Opposite the galley is a forward-facing dinette with settee seating for up to eight - a popular gathering spot during breakfast or underway cruising.

Upstairs, the enclosed sky lounge is a multi-purpose space that functions both as a pilothouse and a quiet retreat. At the helm are three Garmin displays, a fourth screen for vessel monitoring via the Maritron system, and full controls for the upgraded Caterpillar engine displays and ABT TRAC stabilisation. Starlink internet provides high-speed global connectivity. In addition to navigation and control systems, the sky lounge includes a settee and table, a work desk, and another dayhead - making it well suited for remote work, meetings, or simply enjoying a change of pace away from the main deck activity.

Accommodation

Guest accommodation on Q is arranged across four ensuite staterooms on the lower deck, sleeping up to eight guests in comfort. The full-beam master suite sits amidships and is carefully laid out to maximise space and storage. It features a king-size berth positioned slightly off-centre, a large walk-in wardrobe, and a generous ensuite bathroom running along the port side. The head is fitted with twin sinks, a rain shower enclosed by sliding glass, a separate toilet compartment, and privacy screens over the large hull windows.

Forward, the VIP stateroom includes a queen-size bed on the centerline, two full-height wardrobes, a stylish leather headboard, a Bose audio system, and a 32-inch LED screen. Built-in bookshelves and smart detailing add to the space’s relaxed elegance.

Between the master and VIP are two twin guest cabins, one to port and one to starboard. Each is equipped with twin beds, a hanging locker, a 28-inch television, and ensuite access. The port cabin’s berths can slide together to form a double if needed, while the starboard cabin includes a Pullman berth that can accommodate an extra child or occasional guest.

Crew accommodations are split between two cabins aft, with space for up to four crew. There’s a compact lounge area with galley facilities, a second set of washer and dryer units, a Fusion stereo, and a 28-inch LED screen - all located just forward of the beach club.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32) 1,900hp engines, motor yacht Q is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Q’s layout connects the forward dinette to the aft deck in one seamless, sociable flow.
