20m Prestige M8 Evo Motor Yacht Set for World Debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2026

Prestige Yachts will unveil their new model at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, introducing an evolved version of its flagship powercat with redesigned living spaces, refined styling and owner-led enhancements throughout.

The 20m Prestige M8 Evo is the latest flagship in Prestige's M-Line and has been designed by Marc Lombard and Garroni Design, who are responsible for the yacht's exterior styling, interior design and naval architecture.

An owner-led evolution of Prestige's flagship powercat

Rather than introducing an entirely new platform, Prestige has refined the M8 through continuous dialogue with existing owners, evolving the yacht around the way it is used on extended cruises. The exterior has been subtly reworked with new hull glazing, a redesigned black fashion plate and a completely new hardtop that creates a cleaner, more contemporary profile while maintaining the generous volume and stability provided by the twin-hull platform. Conceived as a pure motor yacht rather than a converted sailing catamaran, the M8 Evo retains the streamlined proportions of a monohull while benefiting from the space and comfort associated with a multihull design.

This new model is shaped by the constant dialogue with M8 owners cruising all around the world. "

Redesigned social spaces strengthen the connection to the sea

Life on board the boat centres around more open and flexible entertaining spaces. The flybridge has been extended across the yacht's full beam to create an expansive open-air lounge, while the removal of the internal staircase improves movement between decks and opens up the overall layout. A more versatile aft cockpit offers greater flexibility for relaxing or entertaining close to the water, while the redesigned main deck introduces an enlarged galley with an integrated bar alongside a dedicated dining area.

A brighter interior centred around comfort and privacy

The interior of the catamaran continues Prestige's "home on the water" philosophy, placing greater emphasis on natural light, privacy and everyday liveability. Panoramic glazing floods the main deck with daylight, while a redesigned helm-side galley integrates more naturally into the social spaces. Below deck, the full-beam owner's suite has been completely reimagined with a larger walk-in wardrobe, dedicated office and relaxation area, creating what Prestige describes as a "penthouse on the water." Owners can further personalise layouts, finishes and materials to suit their individual cruising lifestyle.

Twin-hull efficiency supports quieter long-range cruising

Designed specifically as a powercat, the M8 Evo's twin-hull architecture delivers exceptional stability both underway and at anchor while improving efficiency compared with a monohull of similar internal volume. Prestige states that the optimised hull design reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions, while an optional Silent Mode Pack allows extended periods at anchor without noise, vibration or direct emissions through optimised energy management and integrated solar panels. Power comes from twin MAN i6-730 diesel engines, supporting comfortable long-range cruising alongside the platform's focus on efficiency and onboard comfort.

Prestige continues to develop its M-Line powercat range

According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Prestige's M-Line currently comprises four models, including the Prestige M48, the M8, the M7 and the new M8 Evo. The M48 introduced Prestige's vision for luxury multihull cruising in a more compact package, while the M8 laid the foundations for the flagship platform that the Evo now advances. Both the M48 and M8 have been extensively reviewed by YachtBuyer, offering further insight into the evolution of Prestige's M-Line philosophy.
