Azimut Launches New “Neuron” Digital Yacht Management System

Azimut has unveiled “Neuron,” its first fully digital yacht management system, set to redefine the onboard experience by placing owners at the center of a more intuitive and efficient way of managing their yachts.

Developed by Azimut’s Technical Development team in collaboration with MDP Tech, Neuron integrates automation, diagnostics, and surveillance into a single digital platform.

The system enables owners to oversee and control their yacht both on board and remotely via a customizable app interface. Everyday functions such as lighting, climate control, and entertainment can be managed with ease, while more technical areas like diagnostics and power monitoring benefit from Neuron’s advanced capabilities.

Neuron truly improves the owner's life, not only allowing them to monitor their vessel from home and directly manage certain systems with great ease, but also performing diagnostic tests and reducing unscheduled maintenance. "

Neuron’s design allows for continuous monitoring and remote diagnostics, reducing routine and extraordinary maintenance by as much as 70 percent. Should issues arise, after-sales technicians can, with the owner’s consent, access the system remotely to update software or resolve malfunctions. This not only minimizes downtime but often eliminates the need for in-person intervention. Built on a plug-and-play philosophy, Neuron simplifies motor yacht maintenance further, enabling quick replacement of components such as control units when needed.

Efficiency and Weight Reduction

Beyond functionality, Neuron delivers measurable performance benefits. The system reduces onboard wiring weight by 50 percent, freeing up technical spaces and improving efficiency across the vessel. Energy consumption is also optimized through precise power management, minimizing waste and ensuring reliable operation at sea or in port.

After six months of testing aboard an Azimut Fly 53, Neuron is now in its final verification phase. The system will soon be introduced as standard across Azimut yachts up to 80 feet in length, setting a new benchmark in digital yacht management.

A rigorous risk-analysis process guided Neuron’s development, ensuring resilience and continuity of service. By simplifying the yacht’s electrical architecture and reducing the risk of faults, the system enhances overall reliability, contributing directly to smoother ownership and a more stress-free time on the water.

Neuron Launches as Azimut Prepares for Cannes 2025

The debut of Neuron arrives as Azimut prepares a significant presence at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, where the Fly 53 will currently be on display alongside 14 other models, according to YachtBuyer Market Watch - the largest yacht database in the world.

Among them is the Azimut Grande 30M, making its world premiere. At 28.7 meters, the Grande 30M introduces features such as Alberto Mancini’s Deck2Deck Terrace and Infinity Skydeck, combining outdoor versatility with interiors by m2atelier. It is also part of Azimut’s Low Emission Yacht family, designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 30 percent.

The Azimut Fly 72 will also be presented, a 22.5-meter flybridge yacht with a top speed over 30 knots and four ensuite cabins. Its sculpted exterior and contemporary interior from Fabio Fantolino position it as one of the shipyard’s most balanced models. The Azimut Fly 68 will also be exhibited, featuring a more compact footprint of just under 21 meters, with flexible layouts and a bright, modern four-cabin interior.

Azimut’s launch of Neuron signals a step forward in digital yacht management, enhancing reliability, efficiency, and owner peace of mind. With its debut aligned to a strong CYF lineup, the shipyard underscores its dual focus on technological advancement and lifestyle-driven yacht design.
