The new 20m CL Yachts model has been developed with owner-operators in mind, focusing on manageable size, generous interior volume, and flexible living spaces suited to extended cruising.
Inside the CLB65 SUV’s Open Main Deck
One of the defining features of the CLB65 SUV is its nearly 20-foot beam, which creates a wide main deck footprint for a yacht in this size category. The result is a salon designed around openness and visibility, with wraparound glazing bringing consistent natural light into the interior.
At the aft end of the main deck, the galley is positioned directly adjacent to the cockpit. A flip-up service window links the galley to the aft deck seating area, creating a practical connection between indoor and outdoor dining zones.
Large windows surround the salon, while an expansive retractable rooftop introduces additional light and ventilation overhead. As the smallest model in the CL Yachts B series, the layout is arranged to maintain clear sightlines through the main deck, creating a connected environment between the galley, lounge seating, and exterior deck areas.
A Versatile Deck Arrangement
The CLB65 SUV’s exterior arrangement focuses on usability rather than purely formal deck spaces. The aft cockpit forms the primary outdoor gathering area, directly linked to the interior through the galley window and sliding doors.
This layout supports casual entertaining, with the galley acting as a natural hub between the interior salon and the aft lounge seating.
The motor yacht’s beam also contributes to wider side decks and improved circulation around the main deck, making it easier for owner-operators to handle lines and move safely between bow and stern during docking or anchoring.
Flexible Guest Layout
Accommodation on board the CLB65 SUV is arranged across three cabins on the lower deck, providing space for up to six guests. The full-beam master suite is positioned amidships, where the yacht’s widest point creates additional room for a larger bed, storage, and circulation space.
Forward, the VIP stateroom also occupies the full beam and features an overhead skylight that brings natural light into the cabin.
The CLB65 SUV is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 diesel engines, delivering an estimated top speed of around 30 knots. The yacht is built using a resin-infused composite hull and superstructure, a construction method designed to reduce weight while maintaining structural strength. This structure meets CE Category B certification standards, indicating suitability for offshore cruising conditions.
The CLB65 SUV yacht is currently set to attend the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show.
A Flybridge Alternative to the CLB65 SUV
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the world's largest yacht database, there are five models currently in production within the CL Yachts B series. Alongside the CLB65 SUV, buyers can also choose the CLB65 Flybridge, which shares the same overall length and three-cabin layout but adopts a different approach to outdoor living.
While the SUV version focuses on a single-level main deck experience and a utility space at the stern, the CLB65 Flybridge introduces an additional upper deck dedicated to open-air relaxation. This elevated space typically serves as a secondary social zone, giving owners more separation between lounging, dining, and helm functions while underway.
Like the SUV variant, the CLB65 Flybridge accommodates up to six guests across three cabins and is designed with owner-operation in mind. Constructed with a GRP hull and superstructure, the flybridge model uses a planing hull capable of reaching speeds of around 27 knots.
