Filmed at the shipyard's Antalya facility, the walkthrough provides a rare look inside the first steel-and-aluminum Bering 125 yacht during outfitting, highlighting everything from technical systems and machinery spaces to guest accommodations and sound-insulation measures.
The project was first reported in 2024 when the hull was transferred from Istanbul to Antalya for final outfitting after construction began in 2022 for a European owner.
A Sub-40m Yacht with 476GT of Volume
One of the most striking aspects of the construction update is the scale of the interior spaces already taking shape. Bering repeatedly points to the yacht's unusually wide 9-meter beam as the foundation for the model's generous internal gross tonnage.
The main salon alone spans around 60 square meters and is arranged with a formal dining area forward and lounge seating aft. Large windows stretch along both sides of the space, bringing natural light deep into the interior while maintaining uninterrupted views outside.
Forward on the main deck, the owner's suite occupies nearly 30 square meters and includes a walk-in wardrobe, private lounge area, and large en suite bathroom. Below deck, four guest staterooms are arranged around a central foyer, with two larger VIP cabins complementing a pair of additional guest cabins. The yacht is designed to accommodate up to 12 guests alongside seven crew members, with dedicated crew quarters positioned forward.
From Sauna to Sky Lounge
A beach club measuring more than 30 square meters occupies the stern, with space dedicated to swimming, diving, and watersports activities. The area also incorporates an infrared sauna capable of accommodating four guests, while additional technical compartments remain separated by watertight doors.
Above, the flybridge of the explorer yacht has been configured as a multifunctional social deck. The space includes extensive storage compartments integrated into the structure, an outdoor bar, kitchenette, dumbwaiter connection to the galley below, and plumbing provisions for a Jacuzzi.
Elsewhere, the upper-deck sky lounge features large sliding doors, nearly 270 degrees of visibility, and direct access to both the pilothouse and captain's quarters.
Engineering for Quiet Ocean Passages
Bering places particular emphasis on sound insulation and vibration reduction throughout the motor yacht. Extensive acoustic materials are visible behind interior bulkheads, while floating floor systems and multiple layers of insulation are being installed throughout guest areas.
According to the shipyard, the goal is to create a quiet environment capable of supporting extended periods at sea, an important consideration for a superyacht designed for long-range cruising.
The engine room has already received much of its major equipment, including the main engines, generators, fuel systems, and electrical infrastructure. Twin MAN D2862LE427 engines rated at 900hp each are expected to deliver a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 13 knots.
From Catamarans to Flagship Explorers
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, the Bering 125 update comes during a busy period for the Turkish shipyard. In May, Bering launched the first BC60 explorer catamaran, introducing a new aluminum multihull platform with more than 3,000 nautical miles of range and laying the groundwork for the larger BC70 and BC80 models.
The builder has also gained momentum at the upper end of its portfolio. Earlier this year, construction began on the first 50-meter Bering 165 explorer yacht, the largest model currently offered by the yard. A second hull soon followed after a contract was signed with a Singapore-based client, bringing the flagship program to two sold units.
Alongside its new-build activity, Bering recently completed a major refit of the 40-meter Bering 121 explorer yacht Familia. The six-month project included a hull extension, new tender garage, and a series of systems upgrades, highlighting the breadth of work currently underway across the shipyard's explorer yacht lineup.
