Designed by Valentin Design with naval architecture by Eureka Yachts and interiors by Red Yacht Design, the 50m Bering 165 sits at 499GT across five decks, positioning it at the upper end of the sub-500GT segment while retaining transoceanic capability.
The milestone follows the sale of the first hull earlier this year and signals growing demand for sub-500GT explorer yachts designed for long-range cruising.
Second B165 Enters Build Following Singapore Client Contract
The keel laying ceremony for hull number two took place at the yard’s Antalya facility following a contract signed with a Singapore-based client, represented by Absolute Yacht Services. The second unit becomes the latest step in what has been a fast-moving program since the model’s introduction.
The first Bering 165 explorer yacht entered construction in early 2026 with delivery scheduled for 2029. With two hulls now sold within months, the project has moved from concept to active production at pace, underlining confidence in the platform.
Bering 165 is honestly one of the most exciting projects we have started so far. From the beginning, we felt that this yacht should have a very special atmosphere. The client cares a lot about lighting and entertainment, and we are designing the interiors to feel elegant, comfortable and alive."
- Cana Gokhan of Red Yacht Design
Positioned as the largest yacht in Bering’s current portfolio, the B165 extends the yard’s explorer DNA into a larger, more complex build category. The focus remains on long-range autonomy, structural durability, and onboard livability rather than speed-driven performance metrics.
Sub-500GT Platform Prioritizes Long-Range Capability
At 50 meters overall length with a 9-meter beam, the Bering 165 is engineered to deliver internal space typically associated with larger yachts while remaining within regulatory thresholds that appeal to private owners and charter programs.
The five-deck layout introduces a high-volume configuration that supports extended time on board. Core planning decisions prioritize circulation, storage, and operational efficiency, aligning with the demands of long-distance cruising.
Performance figures are expected to follow the same principles outlined for the first hull, with twin Caterpillar engines delivering a cruising speed around 10 knots and a projected range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles. Fuel capacity and onboard systems are designed to support transoceanic passages without reliance on frequent port stops.
Entertainment-Led Layout Defines Second Hull
While the underlying platform remains consistent, the second hull introduces a distinctly different interior brief shaped by the owner’s lifestyle. The expedition yacht has been configured as a dedicated entertaining platform, with a strong emphasis on social spaces and onboard amenities. On the main deck aft, a large pool area exceeding 20 square meters forms the centerpiece, supported by two whirlpool tubs and surrounding lounge areas.
A fully enclosed tender garage on the lower deck provides storage for tenders and water toys, while also improving deck space on upper levels. Additional features on board the motor yacht include a panoramic gym, a dedicated diving and snorkeling setup, and an integrated entertainment system with karaoke capabilities.
Interior design by Red Yacht Design is being tailored to balance private use with social occasions. The concept focuses on adaptable spaces that can shift between quiet, residential-style living and more active guest use depending on how the superyacht is being used.
Ongoing Builds and Refits at Bering
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Bering Yachts currently has around 11 yachts either in build or on order, spanning multiple size categories within its explorer lineup.
Recent activity highlights steady progress across both new-build and refit programs. Earlier this year, the yard launched the second Bering 88, the 26m Sayna, a steel explorer with a range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles. The model sits within a broader series that includes the Bering 82, 110, and 120, each targeting long-range cruising with increasing scale and capability.
Alongside this, the yard has also advanced refit work, including the recent structural rebuild of the 40-meter Bering B121, which introduced hull extensions and major layout changes.
