72m Damen Companion Yacht Indratus Emerges With New Look Following Oceanco Refit

The 72m companion yacht Indratus, formerly Game Changer, has emerged from Oceanco's Zwijndrecht facility following an extensive refit, ahead of her scheduled redelivery later in 2026.

Now sporting a new name and exterior look, Damen Yachting's Indratus is part of the Inkfish fleet alongside Leviathan and Draak. The latest refit has been undertaken by Oceanco's Life Cycle Support team and combines the yacht's 10-year survey with a wider program of upgrades and modifications.

From Game Changer to Indratus

Originally delivered in 2017, Indratus was built by Damen Yachting as the second yacht based on its YS 6911 design. Damen Yachting was responsible for both the exterior design and naval architecture, while Struik & Hamerslag designed the interior. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the yacht has an internal volume of 1,385 GT.

The yacht's latest appearance retains the purposeful profile of the original support vessel, including a forward-positioned bridge, expansive working deck and aft aviation facilities. A new grey and black exterior scheme, accented by a turquoise stripe, now distinguishes Indratus following her time at Oceanco.

Developed for Exploration

At the centre of Indratus' layout is a large open working deck designed to handle tenders, expedition equipment, submersibles and helicopter operations. Her support facilities include 250sqm of open deck space, a 12-tonne deck crane and an LY3 and MCA-certified helideck with a maximum take-off weight of 5,000kg. Below deck, a 110sqm dive and storage area further supports operations away from the mothership.

Previous 2020 Refit

The latest Oceanco project follows an extensive 10-month refit completed in 2020 after the motor yacht had covered almost 50,000 nautical miles. That program extended the stern by approximately 3m, bringing her to her current 72m length, while introducing a larger swim platform and heated beach club suited to diving and colder-climate operations.

Further changes included larger windows, revised crane arrangements, new stabiliser fins and an optimised dynamic-positioning system, alongside interior work and measures addressing noise and vibration. The modifications built on experience accumulated during the yacht's earlier expedition program.

Accommodation

Indratus can accommodate up to 17 guests across eight cabins, comprising an owner's cabin, two doubles and five twins. Three additional staff cabins provide accommodation for up to six members of the owner's staff or security team, while crew accommodation is provided for up to 16.

Performance

Four MTU 16V 4000 M63L diesel engines, each producing 3,000hp, give Indratus a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. With 340,000 litres of fuel capacity, she has a maximum range of 4,155 nautical miles at 15 knots.

An Award-Winning Support Yacht

Before becoming Indratus, Game Changer received the Best Support Vessel award at the 2018 World Superyacht Awards. The yacht was also a finalist in the Best Explorer Yacht category at the Asia Boating Awards, reflecting the expedition and support capabilities around which the vessel was developed.

Indratus is now scheduled for redelivery later in 2026, when she will rejoin the Inkfish fleet alongside Draak and mothership Leviathan, which ranked 54th in the YB100, YachtBuyer’s ranking of the world’s biggest yachts by gross tonnage.
