VIDEO: Fairline Targa 58 GTO Build Remains on Track Ahead of Cannes Yachting Festival 2026

Fairline has shared a fresh construction update, revealing major progress on the yacht's structure and interior as work continues ahead of its scheduled debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.

The Fairline Targa 58 GTO is the latest addition to the British builder's Targa range. Developed as a luxury sports cruiser, the new model is currently progressing through construction, with work advancing on the hardtop, structural liner and lower-deck accommodation as Fairline prepares the yacht for completion.

Hardtop construction reaches the next phase

Current work is focused on the hardtop, mould and structural liner, all of which are undergoing lamination in the mould shop. Fairline is targeting completion of the hardtop within the next two weeks, after which the headliner will be bonded into place before the component is prepared for installation. The latest milestone represents another significant step as the yacht moves from structural construction towards final assembly.

Flagship design takes shape below deck

Positioned as the new flagship of Fairline's Targa range, the Targa 58 GTO has been designed around open-air living and flexible entertaining. The sports cruiser features a streamlined profile, expansive glazing and a cockpit that connects directly with the galley to create a continuous social space, while the aft section incorporates a beach club and tender garage for a Williams 325 tender and water toys. As these exterior spaces continue to take shape, work below deck has also advanced, with the accommodation now around 60% complete as Fairline progresses towards the final stages of the build.

Power and production progress

The yacht will be powered by twin Volvo Penta D13 engines, available in either 900hp or 1,000hp configurations and paired with shaft drives. Designed to meet CE Category B certification, the propulsion package has been selected to deliver a balance of performance and offshore cruising capability.

According to the builder, construction remains on target to meet planned deadlines as work progresses across multiple areas of the motor yacht simultaneously. With the hardtop nearing completion and interior fit-out advancing steadily, the Targa 58 GTO continues to move closer to its first public appearance at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.
