Superyacht Alfa Refit Video: First Look Inside the 70m Benetti’s New Interior

The 70-meter custom superyacht Alfa has emerged from a major refit at Lusben’s Livorno facility with a new interior, upgraded systems, and reworked guest spaces - now revealed in a new video tour.

Originally launched in 2020 and winner of a World Superyacht Award the following year, Alfa now enters her next chapter with a charter-ready layout and refined design direction by Mark Berryman Studio.

The extensive refit of the Benetti yacht was coordinated by brokerage partner Ocean Independence and covered all critical areas of the yacht, from full systems servicing and engineering works to a complete overhaul of interior furnishings. A full video tour showcases the transformation.

Inside Alfa’s Redesigned Interior by Mark Berryman

The most visible change is Alfa’s completely redesigned interior, now styled in a contemporary, natural palette by Mark Berryman Design. Custom sofas, chaise lounges, and marble dining tables with integrated firepits redefine the main deck lounge, while new wall and door finishes help modernize the original layout.

The master suite on board the yacht has been fully reworked with a custom headboard, bespoke cabinetry, and soft material changes that align with the yacht’s new calm, elegant feel.

Four new bars were added throughout the yacht, including a Teppanyaki station on the skydeck and a curved drinks servery in the upper saloon. A new wine cellar was fitted in the portside corridor with large-capacity fridges, giving previously transitional space a strong design presence.

In the galley, storage was optimized and equipment upgraded, adding refrigeration drawers and creating dedicated prep space for improved service flow.

Why Alfa Is Now Better Suited Than Ever for Charter

Now available for charter through Ocean Independence, Alfa accommodates 12 guests across six cabins with a full-beam Owner’s suite on the main deck and VIP cabins below. Crew capacity stands at 18.

Standout amenities on board the motor yacht include a large infinity pool with adjustable depth, a twin-terrace beach club with fold-down balconies for cross-ventilation, a private Owner’s deck with gym and massage room, an elevator linking four decks, and a touch-and-go helipad.

Fresh Paint, New Features: Alfa’s Exterior and Technical Upgrades

The yacht’s hull and Owner Deck were repainted and treated with new protective coatings, while the beach club now features retractable bollards for easier mooring and tender access. Other engineering works included servicing stabilizers, propulsion shafts, gearboxes, and generators as part of Alfa’s five-year survey. Updated AV and lighting systems, new dimming interfaces, and a fresh control desk in the wheelhouse round out the technical improvements.

According to Lusben’s Head of Site Alessio Centelli, the scale of the project required “precise technical coordination and meticulous daily management.” Commercial Director Gianni Paladino added that the project exemplifies the Azimut|Benetti Group’s “life cycle” approach to yacht ownership.

Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, Alfa delivers a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 17 knots, with a transoceanic range of 5,000 nautical miles.

Benetti Lifecycle Strategy

Sold in early 2024 with a last known asking price of €67 million, Alfa was lightly used before her refit. The 2025 update enhances her appeal for long-range cruising and high-end charter alike, supported by upgraded systems, expanded amenities, and a warmer, more versatile interior atmosphere.

The refit also reinforces the strength of Benetti’s after-sales ecosystem, with Lusben providing technical continuity from launch to relaunch. As Ocean Independence’s Anton Foord put it, the relaunch marks “not only the delivery of a beautiful yacht with a new and elegant interior, but also the moment to appreciate the dedication, precision, and pride of the many professionals behind it.”

According to YachtBuyer Market Watch and Intelligence - the world’s largest yacht database - Benetti currently has 60 yachts on order, with the Benetti B.Now 50, Benetti Oasis 40M, and Benetti B.Yond 37M emerging as the shipyard’s most in-demand models.
