New Italian Brand Marcopolo Adventure Yachts to Debut at boot Düsseldorf 2026

Italy’s newest yacht brand, Marcopolo Adventure Yachts, is gearing up for its global debut at the boot Düsseldorf 2026 boat show.

Led by Rosario Alcaro, the company will also display its first two models, the 10-meter MP10 and 12-meter MP12, which are nearing completion at 3AF Shipyard in Sicily. Both models capture the brand’s aim to bring back the thrill of authentic cruising.

A Return to the Essence of Cruising

Marcopolo Adventure Yachts has set out to capture a sense of exploration that Alcaro feels is often missing in today’s market. “At a time when boats often resemble floating villas, Marcopolo seeks to rediscover the thrill of adventure and the essence of the sea,” says Alcaro. Drawing on his long experience in the industry, Alcaro has united an experienced shipyard team with younger professionals under a shared commitment to seaworthiness and style.

At a time when boats often resemble floating villas, MARCOPOLO aims to rediscover the true essence of cruising, the thrill of adventure and exploration, while staying true to the aesthetic excellence of Italian design.”

The new range of boats reflects a clear design philosophy: technical capability first, refined Italian design second. This focus on practical adventure boating, paired with tailored details, places Marcopolo in the growing niche of compact, expedition-inspired dayboats and weekenders built for performance in varied sea conditions.

The MP10 and MP12: Built for Strength and Versatility

Construction of both the MP10 and MP12 is underway at 3AF Shipyard. The yachts are powered exclusively by outboard engines, chosen for their power-to-weight efficiency and straightforward maintenance.

The hulls, developed in collaboration between 3AF’s technical office and the design studio, feature stepped geometry to enhance performance and control. Delfanti notes that each hull was shaped through detailed analysis of the hull to ensure stability and safety across a range of sea states. This engineering focus makes the models suitable for multiple markets worldwide, from the Mediterranean and Northern Europe to U.S. coastal waters and inland lakes.

Both models will be offered in open and cruiser versions. Fold-down bulwarks at the stern expand deck space, while structural integrity and weight distribution have been tuned to maintain balance even when configured for extended cruising.

Designed with a Military Edge

The entire design process was led by Roberto Delfanti Design Lab, the studio responsible for translating the Marcopolo ethos into form. Delfanti describes the boats as “technical, highly organized, and built with a touch of style.” Their most striking feature is a reverse windshield, which, combined with angular lines and low-profile superstructures, gives each motor yacht a distinctly purposeful appearance.

This military-inspired aesthetic conveys a sense of strength and readiness, but the Italian touch is unmistakable. Fine materials, smooth surfaces, and precise detailing balance the rugged outline with refinement. Deck layouts are designed to maximize livability, achieving volumes more typical of larger yachts. The bow area broadens outward to increase interior space, while at the stern, the fold-down bulwarks extend the social area, creating a wide, adaptable platform close to the water.

Inside, Delfanti has prioritized natural light and simplicity, using lightweight materials to enhance both comfort and performance. The interiors are compact but carefully planned, emphasizing practicality and flow rather than excess decoration.

Marcopolo’s construction approach introduces advanced materials to areas of yacht building rarely explored in this size range. The shipyard reports the use of new resins and composite laminates that reduce weight while improving rigidity and durability. Upholstery and woodwork also feature experimental finishes that enhance tactile quality and resistance to wear.

Looking Ahead to Düsseldorf 2026

The upcoming debut at boot Düsseldorf 2026 will mark Marcopolo Adventure Yachts’ first public appearance. The event is one of the world’s leading showcases for new marine products and often serves as a launchpad for emerging European builders.

By introducing two fully constructed models rather than concept studies, Marcopolo positions itself as a serious contender in the small adventure yacht sector. The MP10 and MP12 aim to appeal to owners who value capability, clean design, and a connection to the sea over extravagance.
