More Details

Delivered in 2011, Agave is a 97' expedition yacht for sale built by American shipyard Marlow. Her interior design, exterior styling and naval architecture come from the drawing boards of Marlow's design team.

Key Features

  • Aft deck for tender stowage and hot tub
  • Foredeck with settees and sun pad
  • Sky bridge with helm station and dinette
  • Warm salon with teak and holly floors

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 21' beam and a 5'4" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 166 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the ME 97E design.

Exterior Design

Agave features a clipper bow which enhances its nautical efficiency and provides a traditional aesthetic. The deck is crafted from teak, known for its durability and resistance to harsh marine environments. The hull is painted in a flag blue color, offering a classic and sophisticated appearance. The superstructure is white, complementing the hull and presenting a clean and polished look. The boot top is also white, providing a cohesive transition between the hull and the superstructure.

The cockpit area is tailored for outdoor entertainment, equipped with a three-stool bar forward to starboard and an alfresco dining space aft, which includes a transom bench seat and a fixed table.

Navigational safety is prioritized with wide side decks, high bulwarks with handrails, and a Portuguese bridge forward, ensuring secure passage to and from the foredeck. The foredeck itself includes two J-shaped settees flanking the centerline, providing seating options. A few steps aft and up from the foredeck, there is a sun pad designed for relaxation and sunbathing.

The open-air aft section of the skybridge includes a sunshade that covers a three-stool bar and a hot tub located amidships. The aft part of the deck is designated for tender stowage and is equipped with an Aitex 2,200-pound davit.

Interior Design

The interior design of the yacht Agave is characterized by its functional and welcoming atmosphere, using high-quality materials and thoughtful layouts. The salon features teak and holly floors, with floor-to-ceiling teak accents that add warmth to the space. Natural light floods the area through near waist-to-ceiling windows, enhancing the inviting ambiance. Accent lighting under the sofas and along the ceiling perimeter further elevates the room's aesthetic. The seating arrangement consists of two facing sofas along the starboard and port walls, providing a comfortable space for conversation.

The recently redesigned galley, located amidships, is equipped with practical and stylish features. Custom Cambria Annica stone countertops with recessed sinks offer both durability and a clean, modern look. This area is designed for efficiency and ease of use, ensuring that meal preparation is straightforward and enjoyable.

The forward enclosed section of the sky bridge houses the helm station, which is equipped with a two-seat arrangement positioned forward to port. An L-shaped dinette is located aft of the helm, providing a convenient spot for casual dining or relaxation.

Accommodation

Agave provides luxurious accommodation for up to 14 guests across a total of seven staterooms. The primary master suite is located on the main deck. It features an island king berth and an ensuite head, offering ample space and privacy. Located below deck amidships, the lower master suite is offset to port and also features a king berth with an ensuite head.

Situated in the forepeak, the VIP stateroom includes an island queen berth, a 32-inch flat-screen TV, and an ensuite head. The port guest cabin contains side-by-side single berths and an ensuite head. The starboard guestcabin features over-under berths and an ensuite head. Abaft the lower master stateroom are two more guest cabins, each with double berths and ensuite facilities.

Agave is also capable of carrying up to three crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32) 1,800hp engines, motor yacht Agave is capable of reaching a top speed of 29 knots, and comfortably cruises at 23 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
