Design & Construction
Designed around a modified v-hull GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.26m beam and a 1.86m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 86 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Astarte is a 25.3m (83ft) Ferretti 830, a model that arrived during a period when Ferretti was pushing its flybridge yachts towards larger windows, stronger performance and a more contemporary profile. Designed by Zuccon International Project, the yacht combines the sharp, athletic lines expected of a fast planing yacht with the practicality of a genuine cruising platform.
The profile is dominated by a long band of dark glazing that stretches through the main deck, reducing the visual mass of the superstructure and bringing plenty of natural light into the saloon. Above, the sharply raked windscreen flows into one of the model's most distinctive features: a forward-facing radar arch. Rather than sitting aft as on many flybridge yachts, the arch projects forward over the upper deck, creating shelter for the seating area below while giving the yacht a dynamic, forward-leaning stance.
Viewed from the side, Astarte has the low-slung appearance of a much sportier yacht. The sweeping superstructure, long foredeck and gently rising sheer line help disguise the substantial volume hidden within. Four large rectangular windows set low into the hull bring daylight into the owner's suite and remain one of the defining features of the Ferretti 830 design.
Outdoor living centres around the flybridge. Protected by a GRP hardtop, the space includes a dining area, cocktail bar, refrigerator, electric cooktop, sunpads and a second helm station. The layout creates a lovely entertaining deck with enough flexibility for long afternoons at anchor or casual dining while cruising.
The aft deck provides a more sheltered setting, with built-in seating, a dining table and direct access to the saloon. At the stern, a hydraulic swim platform creates easy access to the water and functions as a practical launch point for tenders and water toys.
Interior Design
Zuccon International Project also designed the interior, which reflects the style popular aboard Italian yachts of the period. High-gloss cherry wood cabinetry features throughout, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that contrasts nicely with lighter furnishings and soft finishes.
The main saloon benefits from the yacht's expansive side windows, which bring natural light deep into the interior. Comfortable seating is arranged around an entertainment centre featuring a 40-inch LCD television mounted on a rise-and-fall mechanism, supported by a Bose Lifestyle surround sound system. The result is a space equally suited to relaxing underway or spending an evening aboard with guests.
Forward of the saloon sits a dedicated dining area with seating for up to eight guests. The separation between lounge and dining spaces gives the interior a more formal feel than many modern open-plan layouts, while still maintaining a natural flow between the two areas.
Accommodation
Astarte accommodates up to 10 guests across four cabins, comprising a full-beam owner's suite, a VIP cabin and two twin cabins, each fitted with Pullman berths.
The owner's suite takes full advantage of the Ferretti 830's distinctive hull windows. Positioned low in the hull, these large rectangular windows provide lovely sea-level views and bring far more daylight into the cabin than was typical of many yachts from the same period. The additional natural light helps make the suite feel notably larger and more connected to the surroundings.
The VIP cabin offers generous accommodation for principal guests, while the two twin cabins provide flexibility for families or mixed guest groups. All cabins feature entertainment systems, LCD televisions and en suite bathrooms.
Crew accommodation is arranged separately and accommodates up to four crew across two cabins, allowing for professional service while maintaining guest privacy.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M93) 12-cylinder 1,822hp engines, motor yacht Astarte is capable of reaching a top speed of 33 knots, and comfortably cruises at 26 knots.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht and an inviting spread of sunpads.
