Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.48m beam and a 3.9m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,385 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Construction started in mid 2015. This was the second yacht built on the YS 6911 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in February 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in September 2017.
Exterior Design
Indratus is now part of Gabe Newell’s Inkfish fleet, alongside vessels including mothership Leviathan and Draak. Originally delivered in 2017 as Game Changer, she has always carried her purpose on the outside, with the bridge pushed well forward, a huge open working deck amidships and the tall aft structure devoted to aviation and support functions. The latest Oceanco refit keeps that character intact, while the new grey and black paint scheme, picked out by a turquoise stripe, gives the whole profile a tougher, more contemporary edge.
That massive central deck is really the heart of the yacht’s exterior. It gives the crew room to handle tenders, expedition gear, submersibles and helicopter operations without getting in the way of guest circulation, while the heavy cranes and clear working zones make it obvious that this space earns its keep. From above, the layout is almost more ship than superyacht, with the helipad sitting aft and the main operational deck left open in front of it.
Her stern had already changed dramatically before this latest work. During the 2020 refit, the yacht was extended by around 3m (9.8ft), gaining a larger swim platform and a heated beach club that made far more sense for the sort of colder-climate cruising she was doing. The same programme also brought larger windows, revised crane arrangements and work on the dynamic-positioning system, so the refit was clearly shaped by what the yacht had learned after several years of hard use.
Exploration & Support
This is where Indratus really comes into her own. As Game Changer, she carried a 12m (39.4ft) Intrepid, an 8m (26.2ft) custom landing craft, a three-person C-Researcher submersible and a six-person Airbus helicopter, giving the team aboard a way to explore by sea, below the surface and from the air.
The open working deck and crane capacity make that possible without turning every launch or recovery into a major disruption for guests. Tenders and expedition gear can be handled away from the main social areas, while the aft helipad gives the helicopter its own clear operating zone.
The yacht has also operated with a PADI five-star dive centre and specialist dive support, so the exploration side has always gone well beyond carrying a few toys. Much of the deck and internal support space is there because people aboard are expected to use the yacht as a proper base for diving, research and remote cruising.
Accommodation
Indratus offers accommodation for up to 17 guests in 8 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 double cabins and 5 twin cabins. Additionally, there are 3 staff cabins aboard which can accommodate up to 6 members of the owners staff and security team. She is also capable of carrying up to 16 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 4 x diesel MTU (16V 4000 M63L) 16-cylinder 3,000hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Indratus is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 340,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,155 nautical miles at 15 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
