Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement to planing GRP hull and a carbon fibre superstructure she features a 8.46m beam and a 2.26m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 320 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the third yacht built on the Fast 125 design. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in February 2017.
Exterior Design
Inspiration is a 38.1m (125ft) yacht built with a carbon fibre and epoxy resin superstructure that keeps her light, strong, and efficient. Her lines were drawn by Stefano Righini as a more classical take on the earlier Fast 125 design. The lighter structure allows for a shallower draft, higher ceilings, and larger windows that bring daylight deep into the interior.
At the bow, a wave-piercing hull helps Inspiration move cleanly through the water and maintain a steady trim. The fast displacement D2P hull form extends the waterline for better performance and fuel economy. Powered by twin 2,636hp MTU engines driving Rolls-Royce Azipull Carbon 65 pods, she reaches about 23 knots and stays quiet enough to hold RINA Comfort Class certification.
The Azipull pods can each turn up to 35 degrees, giving excellent control when manoeuvring. Joystick handling in the wheelhouse makes harbour work easy and smooth.
Aft, the teak-decked beach club forms a direct connection to the sea, complete with its own bar. The side-loading tender garage amidships stores a 5.65m (18.5ft) Williams Dieseljet and two jet skis, each launched by its own crane. This layout also helps block engine noise from the guest cabins.
Across the decks, there are open areas for dining and relaxing. The bridge deck aft has a circular glass-inlaid table surrounded by custom chairs, while the sundeck features a bar shaded by a Bimini top. Bar stools by Glyn Peter Machin and armchairs by Minotti complete the space, with a forward seating area overlooking the foredeck. Here, a built-in spa pool and sunpads complete the outdoor setup.
Her white hull, trimmed with a fine blue waterline stripe, gives Inspiration a clean, balanced profile. A raised brow reduces glare from the bridge, while a revised arch increases window size on the upper deck. Each exterior feature, from the carbon detailing to the furniture, is built for long-term use and ease of maintenance.
Interior Design
Inside, Inspiration follows RWD’s ‘Air’ décor concept for the Fast 125 range. The look is contemporary and calm, pairing light furniture with warm wood and nickel detailing. Tanganyika frisé, glossy ebony, and Thai timber add texture and tone. The staircase is wrapped in dark blue leather, and the dining area has foam-backed wood flooring that softens footsteps.
Lighting is integrated into the structure so it enhances each space without drawing attention. Silk carpets made in China and onyx in the bar and bathrooms add a sense of craft without excess. Stainless steel light switches and thick glass in the showers show the same care in small details.
The upper saloon is a bright and flexible space with panoramic glazing, freestanding furniture by Sutherland and Meridiani, and a 75-inch television that turns the room into a private cinema. A compact gym sits amidships on the same deck, fitted with an Octane cross-trainer and mirrored walls.
The galley is designed for professional use, with high-grade appliances and practical surfaces that clean easily. The owner’s input led to a marble-topped island and breakfast bar, giving the space an inviting, domestic feel within its working layout.
Accommodation
Inspiration accommodates 10 guests in five cabins. The owner’s suite on the main deck includes two hydraulic side balconies that open out over the water, creating private terraces. Inside, silk carpets and leather wall panels match the calm tone seen throughout the yacht.
The lower deck holds four guest cabins: three doubles and one twin. Each has its own bathroom and maintains the same level of finish as the master. The tender garage between the cabins and the engine room acts as a sound buffer to keep the area quiet underway.
Crew areas are forward and include a captain’s cabin finished with leather and rosewood, plus two crew cabins and a mess. The layout supports a team of five and gives them efficient access to service areas while keeping guest spaces private.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M96L) 2,636hp engines, motor yacht Inspiration is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 17 knots. With her 25,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,750 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Inspiration also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
