Design & Construction

Designed around a fast displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 9.17m beam and a 2.65m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2026. This was the first yacht built on the UHV 160 design.

Exterior Design

The first hull of the Lazzara UHV 160 is built around a simple idea: deliver the space and amenities of a much larger yacht without crossing the 500GT threshold. At 48m (157.5ft) with a 9.17m (30ft) beam and a volume just shy of 500GT, the model targets territory normally occupied by yachts in the 55m to 58m range.

The profile reflects that ambition with long bands of glazing stretch from bow to stern, visually reducing the height of the four-deck structure while linking the decks into one continuous shape. Large black glass sections dominate the upper works, contrasting with the white hull and giving the yacht a modern, almost architectural appearance. The sweeping curves around the upper decks soften what is otherwise a broad-shouldered design.

The aft section is where the UHV 160 makes its strongest statement. Rather than treating the beach club as a secondary feature, Lazzara has devoted a huge portion of the stern to waterside living. Fold-down terraces widen the footprint at sea level, while a glass-fronted pool forms the centrepiece of a three-tier arrangement. A concealed transformer platform extends the usable area even further, creating a beach club that rivals those found on significantly larger yachts.

The deck layout spreads guest spaces across multiple levels. The main deck aft provides a large outdoor lounge connected directly to the interior social spaces, while the upper decks add further terraces and gathering areas. The flybridge serves as the yacht's highest social deck, combining open-air dining, lounging and wellness facilities with panoramic views.

Unlike many yachts that chase visual drama through aggressive styling, the UHV 160's appearance is driven largely by its internal volume. The broad beam, long window bands and substantial superstructure all stem from the desire to maximise living space within a manageable length.

Interior Design

The interior, developed by H2 Yacht Design alongside the owner, follows the same philosophy as the exterior: make the yacht feel larger than its dimensions suggest.

With nearly 500GT available, the UHV 160 has interior volume that sits well beyond what most 48m yachts can offer. The beam plays a major role here. At more than 9m (30ft) wide, the yacht gains floor area that would normally require a considerably longer hull.

The design focuses on large open spaces rather than compartmentalised rooms. Extensive glazing floods the interior with natural light, while the uninterrupted window bands maintain a strong visual connection with the sea throughout the guest areas.

A particularly unusual feature is the dedicated owner's deck. Rather than limiting the owner to a suite within a shared guest deck, the UHV 160 provides an entire private level spanning the yacht's full beam. This creates a level of separation and privacy more commonly found aboard yachts above 55m.

H2 Yacht Design's interiors draw inspiration from Art Deco influences, though the overall approach remains contemporary. The emphasis is on scale, openness and comfort rather than decorative excess. Large lounges, expansive social spaces and generous circulation areas create a sense of volume that supports Lazzara's claim that the yacht competes with much larger vessels.

Wellness also plays an important role. Beyond the beach club pool, the design includes dedicated gym and massage facilities, while the enclosed gym and yoga room on the flybridge benefits from elevated views and direct access to outdoor relaxation spaces.

Accommodation

The Lazzara UHV 160 accommodates up to 12 guests across six staterooms and carries a crew of up to 10 in five crew cabins.

The standout feature of the accommodation layout is the owner's private deck. Occupying its own level and spanning the yacht's full 9.17m (30ft) beam, it functions as a self-contained retreat rather than simply a master suite. This arrangement is usually associated with substantially larger superyachts and gives the owner a degree of privacy rarely found on a yacht below 500GT.

Guest accommodation is arranged across five additional staterooms, allowing the yacht to host 12 guests comfortably. The large internal volume allows these cabins to benefit from proportions that would normally be associated with a longer vessel.

Crew accommodation is equally generous by sub-50m standards. Five crew cabins house up to 10 crew members, supporting extended cruising and high service levels.

Performance & Capabilities
