The 27.43m expedition yacht Moonglow was delivered to her owners in 1979 by American shipyard Westport Yachts. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Ed Monk Yacht Design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.1m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 126 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the Westport 77 design.

Accommodation

Moonglow offers accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 suites comprising an owners cabin and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Volvo (TMD 102-A) 236hp engines, motor yacht Moonglow is capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 12,870 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,200 nautical miles at 11 knots making her well capable of long range and transatlantic voyages. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
