Westport 135 Yacht Launch Marks the Next Chapter for the Yard’s Iconic 130-Foot Platform

Westport Yachts has launched the first hull of its new 41 metre Westport W135 raised pilothouse yacht, signalling the next evolution of the yard’s iconic 130-foot platform that has defined Westport’s presence in the 40-metre segment for more than two decades.

Designed as the direct successor to the highly successful Westport W130, the new Westport 135 retains the proven performance, reliability and long-range capability of its predecessor while introducing a contemporary profile, increased interior volume and a refined onboard layout aligned with modern owner expectations.

The model reflects changing owner expectations in the 40-metre segment, while preserving the performance, reliability and long-range cruising credentials that have long defined the Westport brand.

The first hull is scheduled to make its public debut at the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show, with two additional hulls already sold and deliveries planned for later this year and early 2027 respectively.

“The launch of our first 41 metre raised pilothouse motor yacht is an exciting moment for the entire Westport team,” said Westport president Daryl Wakefield. “This model reflects careful listening to our clients and the market, and the early sales success of hulls two and three confirms the demand for this new platform.”

This model reflects careful listening to our clients and the market, and the early sales success of hulls two and three confirms the demand for this new platform.

The first generation Westport 130 established itself as one of the most recognisable and dependable superyachts in its class, prized for its semi-displacement performance, robust GRP construction and owner-friendly layout. The Westport W135 carries that legacy forward with an extended hull form and a refined raised pilothouse profile that delivers increased interior volume and improved onboard flow.

Fully ABS classed, the Westport W135 introduces a more contemporary exterior while maintaining the balanced proportions for which the yard is known. The extended platform also allows for enhanced systems integration, including space to accommodate modern emissions technology, reinforcing the motor yacht’s future-proof credentials.

Accommodation on board is arranged for up to 10 guests across five ensuite staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s suite located on the main deck. The yacht is operated by a crew of six, including the captain, ensuring a high standard of service without compromising guest privacy.

The interior layout of the yacht emphasises indoor-outdoor living, with a spacious main-deck saloon flowing into a formal dining area. Forward, a country-style galley enhances operational efficiency while maintaining separation from guest spaces. Above, the raised pilothouse configuration creates a generous skylounge offering panoramic views and a relaxed social environment.

Exterior areas are equally well considered. Guests can enjoy a shaded aft deck for al fresco dining, an expansive sundeck complete with hot tub and bar, and a beach club with opening transom that provides close access to the water. Together, these spaces reflect the expectations of modern owners seeking both comfort and versatility.

Strong Market Response

Westport Yachts has confirmed that hulls two and three in the series have already been sold, underlining strong early confidence in the new model. With construction underway at the yard’s Pacific Northwest facilities in Washington State, the Westport W135 represents a key pillar in the builder’s next-generation product strategy.

As the natural evolution of the Westport W130, the Westport W135 reinforces the yard’s position as a leader in the semi-custom 40-metre segment. By blending proven engineering with thoughtful modernisation, the model sets a new benchmark for American-built raised pilothouse motor yachts.
