The reveal adds new detail to one of Sunreef’s most closely watched new models, with tennis player Carlos Alcaraz among the first owners and a fully customized unit now under construction ahead of a planned 2027 delivery.
A Calmer Look Inside the Ultima Line
The newly released images place the main saloon at the center of the Ultima 88’s interior concept. This is a wide, open-plan space shaped by long sightlines and consistent materials rather than visual contrast.
Full-height glazing wraps the saloon of the catamaran, drawing in natural light from multiple angles and maintaining a constant connection to the water. Pale ceiling panels sit above darker wood flooring, creating a subtle contrast that defines the volume without interrupting it. Furniture remains low and rounded, helping preserve uninterrupted views across the space.
The layout is arranged as a single social environment, with dining and lounge areas set within one continuous plane. There are no strong visual breaks between zones, which gives the saloon a steady, residential feel rather than a segmented yacht layout.
Private Spaces - A More Intimate Tone
The staterooms shift toward a more enclosed and relaxed atmosphere. Here, curved timber panels frame the bed and extend across the ceiling, softening the geometry of the space and creating a more sheltered feel
Integrated lighting traces these curves, adding depth without introducing contrast. Textiles remain neutral and tactile, with soft rugs and layered bedding reinforcing the quieter tone of the cabins. The result is a set of guest spaces that feel deliberately understated, with comfort driven by proportion, texture, and light rather than decorative elements.
Material Palette - Soft Contrast and Controlled Detail
Across the interior of the yacht, the material selection stays restrained. Pale timber, neutral upholstery, and carefully integrated joinery form the foundation of the design. Surfaces are largely matte, with minimal reflective finishes, keeping the atmosphere soft and consistent.
Lighting is built into the architecture rather than added as a feature. Slim linear strips follow ceiling and wall lines, casting an even glow that supports the calm tone of the interior without drawing attention to itself.
The overall approach focuses on clarity and balance. Each element supports the wider composition rather than standing out individually, which gives the interior a cohesive and measured character.
Built Around Water-Level Living
The Ultima 88 has been developed entirely in-house by Sunreef Yachts, including both design and naval architecture. At 28.4 meters in length and 9.3 meters in beam, it sits toward the upper end of the Ultima range, with a focus on balancing multihull stability and interior volume with a more streamlined profile.
The exterior layout centers on the walkaround Ocean Lounge aft. Folding bulwarks, a broad platform, and integrated sea stairs create a large, open area at the waterline, supported by a garage for tenders and water toys. The profile remains low and controlled, with direct access between interior and exterior social spaces. A hydrofoil option is also available as part of the wider performance package.
The Sunreef Ultima 88 is available with high-performance power propulsion or an advanced hybrid configuration, with Sunreef also listing ultralight, thin, flexible solar panels among the model’s technical features. The yard states that the superyacht can support quiet electric cruising, while the classic power version is expected to reach a top speed of 26 knots.
High-Profile Owners and Growing Order Book
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database, Sunreef currently has 33 yachts over 24 meters in build or on order, pointing to sustained demand across its multihull portfolio. That momentum is reflected in recent activity, including the US debut of the 60 Sunreef Power at the 2025 FLIBS and the unveiling of the 65M Sunreef Explorer concept. These sit alongside continued development of larger Eco models designed for long-range, lower-impact cruising.
The Ultima 88 drew wider attention earlier this year when Carlos Alcaraz signed for a fully customized unit, marking his move into yacht ownership. The Spanish tennis player has described time on the water as a way to step away from the demands of professional sport, with the yacht positioned as a private space for family and close friends. Alcaraz also joins the yard’s House of Sunreef, alongside high-profile owners including Fernando Alonso and Robert Lewandowski.

The first interior images give the Ultima 88 more definition beyond its performance and celebrity-owner appeal. For Sunreef, the model now sits as a clearer statement within a fast-growing order book shaped by large-volume catamarans, owner-led customization, and continued interest in cleaner propulsion options.
