On Deck
The Azimut Seadeck 7 introduces a distinct approach to outdoor space, starting with its cork decking throughout. Lighter and more sustainable than traditional teak, cork helps reduce weight while emphasizing the yacht’s ecological lean. The aft section, referred to as the "fun island," features drop-down balconies to port and starboard, a glass transom, and a relaxed, open connection with the sea. A hammock adds an informal, playful touch. The aim is to create a natural, open-air experience that puts guests in closer touch with the elements.
The cork finish continues up to the flybridge and around the walkaround decks, where cut-down bulwarks improve sightlines and reinforce that connection to the water. Side doors offer practical access while docked.
Flybridge access is tucked neatly beside the helm door, avoiding clutter in the cockpit. This upper area is compact but flexible. The current layout includes a settee and built-in fridge, though owners can opt for a dining table or bar. Helm controls include twin Garmin displays, IPS joystick, bow thruster, and Fusion sound system.
Forward, the bow deck includes a large sunpad and a walkable area all the way to the bow roller. A single-piece windscreen gives the foredeck a clean, sweeping look.
At the stern, the bathing platform can carry a tender up to 3.3 meters (10.8 feet). It can be lowered to launch the tender and includes broad steps that unfold as the platform descends, providing a generous walkway into the sea. A pair of grills sit either side of the transom. The port-side locker houses accessories like the Scanstrut Atmos inflator, while a sealed bulkhead forward of the platform conceals the battery bank and fast-charging system on hybrid-equipped boats.
Interior Accommodation
Inside, the focus stays on sustainability, subtlety, and flow. The main saloon opens wide thanks to hinged doors that push fully aside, connecting the interior to the aft deck. Another large sliding door is positioned alongside the saloon to enhance airflow and openness. Finishes are deliberately natural, with soft, light fabrics and a calm color palette. The carpet, made from recycled fishing nets, and the upholstery, also recycled, reinforce the environmental theme.
The galley sits forward on the main deck in a space that can function as a crew area, separated by a sliding pocket door. Though compact, it’s well-equipped: a full-height fridge-freezer, oven, hob, overhead extractor, and ice maker are all present. Storage has been cleverly maximized, with deep lockers, sliding pantries, and concealed compartments. The galley also features a dual-tap system, one supplying standard freshwater, the other drawing from a UV-purified source.
Adjacent to the galley, the lower helm features twin Garmin screens, IPS joystick controls, AC and systems management, VHF radio, and a side door leading directly to the deck. This configuration allows for a separate crew passage, preserving privacy for guests.
Owner's Cabin
The owner's suite sits aft on the lower deck, using the full beam of the yacht. It features blonde walnut joinery, understated lighting, and calming tones. Storage is provided via wardrobes on both sides, with discreet lighting and thoughtfully placed reading lamps. The ensuite includes a large rainfall shower, basin, and toilet, with contemporary lighting built around the mirror and a concealed layout that keeps everything tidy and minimal.
Guest Accommodation
The lower deck includes three guest cabins. The VIP sits forward and features hull windows on both sides, blonde walnut woodwork, a wardrobe, and a private ensuite with separate shower.
Cabin three lies midships and connects to the day head via a secondary access door, allowing it to function as a private bathroom if needed. The space includes storage lockers, AV equipment, and more hull glazing.
Cabin four includes crossover single berths, additional storage, and shares the day head with cabin three. This head is a generous size and offers full facilities for shared guest use. A washing machine is also located in this area for convenience.
Crew Accommodation
The crew cabin sits in the bow and includes twin bunks to port. Opposite, there’s a wet room with a toilet, sink, and shower. A wardrobe and storage shelves complete the setup. This cabin is accessed separately from the guest areas, and the galley can also be closed off with a pocket door to create a private working space for crew.
Performance
The Seadeck 7 offers a hybrid drive setup built around twin Volvo Penta IPS engines, with options for either the IPS 1200 or IPS 1350. This particular unit uses IPS 1350s, producing 1,000 horsepower each and delivering a top speed just over 30 knots. Cruising speeds around 23-24 knots provide a range of approximately 250-280 nautical miles.
For low-speed displacement cruising, the hybrid system includes twin 160 kW electric motors. These allow for quiet, emissions-free operation up to 11-12 knots, with a range of around 30 miles at 7 knots. Ideal for marina maneuvering or river cruising, this silent mode contributes to a 40 percent estimated reduction in annual emissions.
Battery storage totals 384 kWh. This replaces the need for a traditional generator, with power supplied by the main engines and shore power. The space usually reserved for a jet ski garage instead houses these batteries in hybrid-equipped models.
Seakeepers are installed aft in the engine room, providing improved stability under way. Access is via the aft cockpit.
In Summary
The Seadeck 7 is a new direction in sustainable yachting for Azimut. At 21 meters (70 feet), it introduces cork decking, hybrid propulsion, and recycled interior materials without compromising performance or livability. Four guest cabins, a forward crew area, and a flexible flybridge layout make it a versatile cruising platform. The Fun Island concept reimagines the aft deck as a space that flows into the sea, reinforcing a close connection with nature.
Designed by Alberto Mancini, the Seadeck 7 is part of a larger family alongside the Seadeck 6 and the upcoming Seadeck 9, each sharing a focus on efficiency, clean design, and environmentally conscious engineering.
