Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.7m beam. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
She was completed at Damen Yachting's Antalya yard in Turkey where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
The Damen 5305 Yacht Support has a working profile shaped by function, with a long, open aft deck and a forward superstructure that keeps the main load area clear. At 53.25m (175ft), the hull carries its volume low, and the straight sheer line and upright bow reflect its offshore capability.
The aft deck is the defining feature. It is wide, flat and reinforced for heavy equipment, with space to carry large tenders, a submersible or even vehicles, as shown in the layout. A heavy-duty crane sits to port, positioned to launch and recover equipment directly from the water. Tie-down points run across the deck, so loads can be secured for passage.
Forward of this working area, the superstructure rises across multiple levels with deep overhangs that create sheltered walkways. The bridge sits high with clear sightlines over the deck and bow, while the mast carries communication and navigation systems in a compact arrangement.
Side decks are wide and practical, with direct access between bow and stern. The foredeck remains clear for anchoring operations, with flush fittings and clean lines that avoid clutter.
Interior Design
The interior of the Damen 5305 follows the same practical logic as the exterior. The bridge deck is arranged for long-range operation, with a full-width wheelhouse and direct access to exterior walkways.
The main deck interior sits just aft of the bridge and connects to an exterior dining and lounge area. The layout shown in the plans places a formal dining table and seating close to the aft deck, so crew and guests can move between inside and outside without crossing working zones.
Materials are simple and durable, suited to extended use, while large windows bring in light and maintain visibility even when the yacht is loaded with equipment aft. Circulation routes are direct, with clear separation between operational areas and guest spaces.
Accommodation
Accommodation on the Damen 5305 is arranged for up to eight guests, with additional space for a crew of 10 plus the captain.
The guest cabins sit forward on the lower deck, grouped around a central corridor. The layout provides a mix of double and twin cabins, each with its own en suite, so the yacht can support a range of guest types during longer trips.
