Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 7.62m beam and a 1.83m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 253 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the tenth yacht built on the Custom design.
Exterior Design
Dirt Poor is a 36m (118ft) Trinity raised pilothouse motor yacht with an aluminium hull and superstructure, built in 1999 and kept current through steady refit work. The profile is classic Trinity, long, low and balanced, with a proper forward rake and full walkaround decks that still earn their keep day to day.
The aft deck is set up for easy living, with a large teak dining table and direct access down to the swim platform via twin staircases. It’s a practical layout that works just as well at anchor as it does on a busy dock day.
Up top, the flybridge is where most of the time will be spent. There’s a Jacuzzi, full wet bar, new propane grill and a wide lounge area, plus a large boat deck that can handle a serious tender setup. It’s a big, open space, and it gets used.
Forward, the bow carries additional seating and working gear, while the covered side decks run cleanly along the superstructure, giving safe movement around the yacht in all conditions.
Interior Design
The main deck follows a layout that still holds up well. The salon is wide and open, with a large sofa to port, built-in cabinetry to starboard and a central bar that ties the space together. It flows straight into the formal dining area, which can seat up to 12, so it handles a full table without feeling tight.
Natural light comes in through large side windows, while electric blinds and updated headliners from the recent refit clean up the look. The finish is warm and traditional, but the updates bring it forward where it counts.
Forward of the dining area sits the country-style galley, and this is one of the most used spaces on board. It has a large island, new appliances, walk-in pantry and a proper dinette with a TV, so it works as a day space, not just a service area.
The wheelhouse above is set up for long runs, with strong visibility, updated electronics, new autopilot and Starlink added in recent works. It’s a comfortable place to spend time, not just somewhere to stand watch.
Accommodation
Dirt Poor sleeps 8 guests across four cabins, with accommodation arranged on the lower deck to keep things settled underway.
The full-beam master sits aft and takes full advantage of the yacht’s width. There’s a king bed, sofa, strong storage and a standout his-and-hers bathroom arrangement, with separate spaces, a Jacuzzi tub and a large shower. The double walk-in closets are a rare touch at this size and make a difference on longer trips.
Forward are two VIP cabins, both with queen beds and ensuite bathrooms, while an additional twin cabin with a Pullman adds flexibility for families or extra guests.
Crew accommodation sits forward in the bow, with three cabins for up to six crew and two shared heads. The layout keeps the crew close to the galley and service areas, so the boat runs smoothly with a relatively small team.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3412B) 1,398hp engines, motor yacht Dirt Poor is capable of reaching a top speed of 21 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 23,772 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,750 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Dirt Poor also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
