Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.7m beam and a 2.7m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the Bering 145 design. Launched in April 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2022.
Exterior Design
Heeus is a 145-foot steel explorer-style superyacht with purposeful exterior lines, emphasising functionality, durability, and volume. Designed and built by Bering Yachts, she carries the hallmarks of a true long-range cruiser, combining commercial build standards with refined, owner-driven customisation.
The expansive flybridge features a large jacuzzi forward and is shaded by a carbon fibre canopy supported by two sleek poles, leaving the central space free and open. This level includes a bar with six stools, a dumbwaiter connection for food service, and space for hosting up to 40 guests. When enclosed, the entire deck is climate controlled. A slide can also be added, turning the area into a playful, elevated entertaining zone.
Below, the boat deck is designed to support multiple tenders, with a heavy-duty 2,721kg (6,000lbs) SOLAS-rated crane mounted on reinforced steel. Once the tenders are launched, the cradles can be stowed, transforming the space into an open area for parties or outdoor gatherings. Generous fairing underfoot enhances acoustic insulation, while subtle drainage channels manage runoff.
Forward, the bow integrates a raised sunpad, settees, and tables in a protected nook ideal for meals or relaxation in port. Structural reinforcements in this area include a stainless steel insert at the gunnel interface, fully protected beneath fairing to prevent corrosion from contact between mild and stainless steel. The anchoring system features a dual-anchor arrangement with both fast-drop and controlled-release options. Chain rinsing uses both salt and fresh water, followed by self-draining and freshwater flushing systems.
Other deck features include four large life rafts (two per side), integrated receptacles for shade poles, and an additional loose dining arrangement. The teak decking and drainage systems were still being completed during the walkthrough but are integral to the yacht’s finishing quality.
Two wing stations flank the pilothouse, used for docking and manoeuvring. They offer excellent visibility and mirror the traditional yacht layout. Throughout the yacht’s upper levels, reinforced triplex glass windows are up to 2.54cm (1in) thick, contributing to the yacht’s expedition-ready spec without compromising natural light or views.
Interior Design
The main saloon is spacious and multifunctional, with a generous seating area and pop-up TV complete with sound bar. A formal dining space just forward features a large table for 12 guests and multiple wine coolers nearby, creating a private dining environment with seamless access to the stews pantry and galley. The pantry includes ice makers, a deep storage area, and a dumbwaiter for vertical food service.
The galley itself is a full commercial installation, fitted with Electra Max appliances and designed for high-capacity use. It includes industrial fryers, dual sinks, convection ovens capable of catering for over 200 people, and strict zoning for hygienic food preparation. Religious and dietary needs are considered in the layout, including kosher and halal separation. Materials are selected not just for their aesthetics but also their durability and cleanability.
Above, the sky lounge presents a relaxed yet stylish retreat. It features an illuminated onyx bar, oversized TV, convertible sofa bed, wine fridge, and its own bathroom with shower. This lounge doubles as an extra guest suite if needed and is serviced by a smaller galley space acting as a stewardess pantry.
The upper helm station is equipped with six large screens running Transys commercial navigation software via a dual Runa black box system. This setup allows the yacht to operate legally without paper charts and includes independent rudders, bow and stern thrusters, stabilisers, and radar. A standout feature is the commercial-grade clear-view rotating window on the central pane, used in extreme weather when wipers are ineffective. Other helm windows are fitted with traditional wipers.
The upper foyer includes a striking central lightwell that spans three decks. Server equipment is housed here along with a good-sized day head. Crew and service access is fully separate from guest pathways, and traffic flow is managed throughout the yacht to maintain privacy and efficiency.
Throughout the interior, craftsmanship is prioritised. Cabinetry, fittings, and surfaces are produced in-house, with controlled environments for varnishing and veneer preparation.
Accommodation
Heeus accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins, including a master suite and four guest cabins, with flexibility for an additional guest or specialist crew in a convertible cabin. Crew accommodation supports up to 11 staff.
The master suite, located on the main deck, spans approximately 74m² (800ft²) and includes a private office, dedicated wine fridge, walk-in wardrobe, and a head finished with a steam shower, hammam, and a one-person soaking tub. Large windows flood the space with natural light while maintaining privacy, as there’s no walkaround deck directly outside.
On the lower deck are four guest cabins: two mirror-image VIPs and two twin cabins, one of which includes a Pullman berth. All feature Japanese-style toilets, generous showers, and cohesive styling. One of these cabins is designed to double as overflow crew accommodation for specialist roles such as dive instructors or expedition guides. It can be sectioned off with a sliding bulkhead for privacy and has direct connection to crew areas.
Crew quarters are built to commercial charter standards, with significantly more space than typical yachts in this size range. Accommodation is provided in large, well-appointed cabins with proper showers, generous storage, and dedicated crew mess. The crew galley includes a microwave, coffee machine, and fridge, but not a full cooking setup in line with updated sanitary regulations. Direct access links crew areas to service zones like the pantry and pilot house without disturbing guest spaces.
The captain’s cabin is positioned on the upper deck and enjoys a panoramic view, queen-sized bed, en suite with large shower, and personal storage. It’s spacious enough for a couple, ideal for a captain and chief stewardess team. There is also a dedicated staircase for crew use, maintaining separation between guest and operational areas.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32) 12-cylinder 1,217hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Heeus is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 95,600 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 8,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Amenities
For the ultimate relaxation experience, the yacht plays host to a luxury spa. In addition, a generous beach club offers direct access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
