Delivered in 1981, Gin & Tonic is a 41.7m motor yacht for sale built by Dutch shipyard Feadship. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of De Voogt, while Sally MacMillan is responsible for her interior design.

Key Features

  • Classic Feadship pedigree
  • Proven transatlantic range
  • Main deck owner’s suite
  • Large formal dining area

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.56m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 387 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Gin Tonic carries the instantly recognisable silhouette of a classic Feadship, her steel hull and aluminium superstructure balanced by clean white paintwork and subtle varnished trims around the windows. From the water, the long flared bow and sweeping sheerline emphasise her purposeful proportions, while the superstructure tiers step back gently to create shaded decks with wide views. Teak decking runs across the main and boat decks, adding a traditional touch beneath the foot.

A generous aft deck flows directly from the saloon, complete with dining space and a wet bar. The bridge deck above provides another large al fresco dining and seating area, with more open sunbathing space aft. Forward of the wheelhouse, an additional seating area makes the most of the views and doubles as a quiet retreat when under way.

The sundeck was later adapted for tender storage, equipped with a crane and space for jet skis and other water toys, yet it still leaves room for sun loungers. At the stern, her original low swim platform offers easy water access, a simple and enduring feature that has proved practical for decades.

Interior Design

Satin-finished wood panelling lines the saloon and dining areas, giving the spaces a rich, traditional character, while large rectangular windows bring in plenty of natural light.

The main saloon is arranged with deep blue sofas and armchairs set around a low table, creating a relaxed hub for guests. A smaller games or card table sits by the windows, while the adjoining formal dining area offers a more structured setting with a long polished table and seating for 12 beneath a chandelier. Subtle fabric shades and wall-mounted lamps add warmth in the evenings, softening the atmosphere against the bright woodwork.

The galley, positioned just aft of the Owner’s suite, is fitted out to professional standards with Siemens, Gaggenau, Miele, and Electrolux appliances. Walk-in refrigeration, multiple fridges and freezers, and specialist units such as wine cellars, ice makers, and coffee machines ensure storage and service are never an issue.

Forward, the wheelhouse and chart room form the operational base of the yacht. They are flanked by the captain’s cabin and office to starboard, a set-up that keeps the crew closely connected to navigation while maintaining privacy for guests.

Accommodation

Gin Tonic accommodates 12 guests across six well-appointed staterooms. The full-beam owner’s suite is located forward on the main deck and includes a private study and en suite bathroom.

On the lower deck, two VIP cabins with en suite bathrooms sit forward of the engine room with their own private access. A further four twin staterooms are positioned aft of the machinery space, two with en suite shower rooms and two with en suite bathrooms featuring bathtubs.

Crew quarters are located forward, comprising four cabins with en suite shower rooms, a crew mess, and a dedicated galley. Accommodation here is arranged for up to eight crew.

Performance & Capabilities

Motor yacht Gin & Tonic is capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 55,500 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles.
