Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.9m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 200 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the second yacht built on the 100 Century design.

Exterior Design

Mr Doom is a tri-deck raised pilothouse yacht, originally created to mark the shipyard’s centenary and designed to showcase Astondoa’s long heritage in Spanish yachtbuilding. The exterior profile is distinctive, defined by angular lines, high bow, and dark-tinted glazing that wraps around the superstructure. Sharp styling elements include the reversed rake of the windscreen and bold use of metallic accents, giving the yacht a modern edge without straying into excess.

On deck, the layout prioritises open movement and generous relaxation areas. The top deck serves as a full-length flybridge, running uninterrupted from bow to stern. This expansive space begins aft with a spa pool set into a broad sunpad, with surrounding seating that forms a social focal point. Twin dining tables and integrated wet bars provide plenty of hosting potential, all shaded beneath a hardtop fitted with a louvered sliding sunroof that tailors light and ventilation to preference. Pop-up helm navigation gear keeps the flybridge clean and versatile when not underway.

Side staircases to port and starboard lead from the main deck to the flybridge, freeing up the aft cockpit to maximise space. With no central staircase intruding, the area feels particularly wide for a yacht with a 6.8m (22ft 4in) beam. This lower terrace features a large dining area and an electric sunshade for heat control at the touch of a button. At the stern, the fold-down transom creates a full-width swim platform and reveals a garage that houses a 4.3m (14ft) Williams tender and a jet ski.

Teak decking continues forward uninterrupted, extending along the side decks to the foredeck lounge. Here, guests find another sociable zone with sunpads, a built-in settee, cocktail tables, and an automated bimini. The teak-grated bow area adds another layer of functionality and charm, turning what is often a utility space into a private sun retreat. The raised pilothouse above is clad in jet-black and merges smoothly into the flybridge structure, offering privacy from the outside while maintaining views and light from within.

Interior Design

The interior was shaped in collaboration with Italian designer Cristiano Gatto, who delivered a contemporary scheme defined by clean lines, balanced materials, and clever spatial continuity. Washed oak tones feature prominently across the joinery, softened by chrome accents and warmed with oak flooring and leather finishes. A palette of 26 materials is used throughout the interior, combining natural and reflective textures for a rich, layered feel.

The main deck flows on a single level from the aft cockpit through to the owner’s suite, creating a unified and highly navigable space. Large windows line the saloon, enhancing the sense of openness while also drawing in natural light through glass bulwarks. The ceiling features a striking white leather panel, mirrored below by white carpeting, both edged in polished chrome. Custom-designed sofas and a bespoke dining table anchor the main lounge, with only the chairs sourced externally from Poltrona Frau.

To port, the galley has been laid out for serious culinary use. There are triple fridge units, a six-burner cooktop, generous work surfaces, and a practical breakfast bar with two stools. A pantry and coffee station are neatly tucked forward, offering additional service capability. Though this yacht was built to a particular owner’s brief, the layout lends itself well to varied preferences and could be adapted to suit different needs. The design avoids unnecessary ornamentation while still making space for craftsmanship, with examples such as Lucite-fronted drawers, stitched leather detailing, and polished stainless hardware showing thoughtful execution at every turn.

Accommodation

Accommodation on board Mr Doom is arranged to host up to 10 guests across five cabins, supported by quarters for up to four crew in two cabins.

The owner’s suite is positioned forward on the main deck and makes full use of the yacht’s beam. Accessed via a private foyer, the cabin is configured for comfort and seclusion, with a spacious layout, extensive storage, and exceptional natural light from the oversized side windows. The design integrates custom furniture into the structure itself, so that elements like the nightstands and walls appear as one. The en suite bathroom features dramatic backlit panels, dark London grey marble, and twin compartments for toilet and shower on either side of a central vanity.

Below deck, the guest accommodation mirrors the same commitment to symmetry and quality. Two mirrored VIP cabins are located aft, both with ensuite bathrooms and ample wardrobe space. Forward are two twin cabins that can be converted into doubles, depending on the group. Each guest suite includes a rainfall shower and refined fittings, and all are close in size and standard, which helps avoid any imbalance when hosting families or mixed groups.

The crew area is accessed via the galley and sits forward on the lower deck. It includes two cabins accommodating up to four crew, each with ensuite facilities. A small but functional laundry area with washer and dryer is also incorporated into this zone.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M86) 16-cylinder 2,186hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Mr Doom is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots, and comfortably cruises at 20 knots. With her 10,900 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 580 nautical miles. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
