Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 3.9m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 362 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the ninth yacht built on the 37 XP design. Launched in March 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Orpheus follows the Numarine 37XP platform, so the profile is driven by long-range function rather than styling tricks. The 37.2m (122ft) hull is full-displacement steel with a composite superstructure, and the volume is clear in the high bow and broad, stacked decks. From the image, the glazing is a key feature. Large, dark window bands run along the main and upper decks, breaking up the height of the structure and giving the yacht a more horizontal feel.
The bow is upright and purposeful, built for offshore work, while the superstructure steps back cleanly toward the aft decks. Railings stay slim and the surfaces are kept simple, so the shape does the work rather than added detail.
Outdoor space is spread across several levels. The flybridge stretches close to 10m (32ft) and offers around 83m² (893ft²) of open area, which is unusually large for a yacht of this size. Aft on the upper deck, the terrace doubles as a working deck. It carries a tender up to 9m (29.5ft) when underway, then clears into a full outdoor space once launched.
At water level, the beach club sits low and direct to the sea, with a bathing platform and an internal lounge.
Interior Design
Inside, Sturge & Toth take a quieter approach. The brief centres on restraint, and that shows in the materials and layout. The main saloon in the image is long, wide, and kept deliberately calm. Full-height windows run along both sides, so the sea stays in view from almost every seat.
The palette is light and controlled. Soft greys, pale woods, and muted fabrics set the base, with small accents in warmer tones. Upholstery is deep and low, arranged in loose groupings rather than formal lines, so the space feels relaxed without losing structure.
Ceiling panels are clean and reflective, with integrated lighting that spreads evenly across the room. There are no heavy features competing for attention. Instead, detail sits in the joinery. Subtle timber work, metal trims, and built-in furniture carry most of the visual weight.
Accommodation
Orpheus can be configured for up to six or seven guest cabins, depending on the layout. The main deck master sits forward and benefits from the same large window treatment as the saloon, so it has strong natural light and open views.
An upper deck suite offers an alternative owner space. It places the bed facing aft and opens straight onto a private terrace through glass doors. This area can shift role depending on use. It serves as a private deck at anchor, or as a working space for tender storage while underway.
The remaining guest cabins are on the lower deck. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C18) 2,100hp engines, motor yacht Orpheus is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 51,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 8 knots.
