First Numarine 40MXP Superyacht Miouch Delivered

Turkish shipyard Numarine has marked a milestone with the official delivery of the expedition yacht Miouch.

As the first hull in the Numarine 40MXP series, Miouch leads Numarine's Mediterranean Explorer range with increased volume, extended deck spaces, and a design tailored for long-range lifestyle cruising.

From 37XP to 40MXP: Building on a Proven Platform

The 40MXP is an evolution of Numarine’s successful Numarine 37 XP model, created to extend both form and function. The “MXP” suffix stands for Mediterranean Explorer - a nod to the yacht’s focus on open-air living while retaining the endurance and practicality of a true explorer.

Built with a full-displacement steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the new model stretches two meters longer than its predecessor, with key changes concentrated in the aft. The enlarged aft deck features a plunge pool with a glass transom, a bar, dining area, and a lounge, all shaded by overhangs or extendable awnings. The beach club and garage setup of the 37XP has been replaced by a full-beam hydraulic swim platform, enhancing direct access to the water.

Numarine chairman Ömer Malaz called the 40MXP “a focused development” of the XP series, preserving its hallmark traits while opening new lifestyle opportunities. General Manager Murat Şen added that “three 40MXP hulls were already sold before the first one was launched” - an indication of strong market interest.

Exterior Styling: Sculptural and Functional

Exterior design of the yacht comes from Turkish designer Can Yalman, with naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini. The yacht’s sharp, faceted hull windows and near-vertical bow create a bold silhouette softened by a gently raked stem. Miouch features a metallic champagne finish above the waterline, white superstructure, and black boot top - an aesthetic anchored in contrast and precision.

Each deck is clearly defined by angular overhangs, creating rhythm across the profile. The superstructure of the superyacht is kept clean with a low radar mast and flush detailing, while expansive glazing and full-beam decks enhance the sense of scale and openness.

Interior Layout and Customization Options

Miouch’s interiors, also designed by Yalman, reflect Numarine’s ongoing emphasis on practical luxury. Sliding glass doors connect the enlarged aft terrace with the main saloon, establishing a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. The interior of the motor yacht is bright and uncluttered, with materials selected for durability and comfort during extended passages.

Interior features available across the series include a cinema room, a glass-fronted wine display, and flexible guest accommodations designed for private use or charter.

Miouch accommodates up to 12 guests across six staterooms. The main deck master suite spans the full beam forward, offering expansive views and separation from guest areas. A full-beam VIP suite on the lower deck provides near-equal comfort, supported by additional double and twin cabins.

Range and Engineering Capabilities

Built for true global cruising, the 40MXP is powered by twin 800hp MAN diesel engines, delivering a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. At an economical speed of 8 knots, she achieves a transatlantic range of 6,000 nautical miles, supported by 51,000-liter fuel tanks and extensive cold storage.

The yacht’s expansive boat deck accommodates a 9-meter tender and up to three full-size Jet Skis, with a 3-ton davit as standard. The hull is engineered for efficient displacement cruising, maintaining stability and comfort across a wide range of conditions.
