Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.14m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 385 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the twentieth yacht built on the Oasis 40M design. Launched in July 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Benetti's Livorno yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in October 2024.

Exterior Design

RWD designed the Oasis 40M around a simple idea: bring everyday life on board down to the water's edge. A near-plumb bow, clean sheer line and low superstructure give Volpe a contemporary profile, while continuous bands of dark glazing reduce the apparent height of the yacht and emphasise her length. At 40.8m (133.10ft) with an 8.5m (27.11ft) beam, she carries substantial internal volume without appearing bulky.

The patented Oasis Deck® defines the design. Hydraulic side terraces fold out to create an approximately 90sqm beach terrace that extends almost the full width of the stern. Unlike a conventional beach club, which is often separated into several levels, the Oasis Deck® forms one uninterrupted platform just above the water. With the wings retracted, the terraces disappear into the hull, preserving the yacht's original beam and hydrodynamic profile for passage making.

The arrangement changes how the yacht is used. Traditional superyachts often place the principal social areas on the sundeck or flybridge, leaving the stern to support tender operations. Volpe reverses that thinking by making the aft deck the focal point of life on board. The main saloon opens directly onto the Oasis Deck®, creating a continuous indoor and outdoor living space that remains closely connected to the sea throughout the day.

As the twentieth yacht completed in the Oasis 40M series, Volpe also represents a mature stage in the model's evolution. By 2024, the Oasis Deck® had moved well beyond its original launch, with the concept firmly established across Benetti's range and influencing later models including the Oasis 34M and Oasis 42M. What began as an innovative feature has become one of the defining design ideas of the modern semi-custom superyacht market.

Accommodation

Volpe accommodates up to 12 guests across five ensuite cabins, with accommodation for nine crew.

The owner's suite occupies the forward section of the main deck and includes a private balcony, creating a level of privacy normally associated with larger custom yachts. Two VIP cabins, one double cabin and one twin cabin complete the guest accommodation, giving the layout flexibility for both private cruising and charter operation.

Performance & Capabilities

Volpe combines a GRP displacement hull with Benetti's in-house naval architecture and twin MAN V12 diesel engines producing a combined 2,800hp. The package delivers a top speed of around 16 knots and an economical cruising speed of 12 knots.

At cruising speed she offers a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles, giving the Oasis 40M genuine long-distance capability alongside the relaxed lifestyle for which the model is best known. That combination distinguishes her from many planing-hull rivals in the 40m segment, which typically trade range for higher top speeds.

The Oasis Deck® also contributes to comfort at anchor. When deployed, the hydraulic side terraces widen the usable footprint at the stern to create a broader, more stable social platform close to the water, while zero-speed stabilisers further reduce motion during extended stays at anchor.

Leisure & Entertainment

Life aboard Volpe revolves around the Oasis Deck®. The hydraulic terraces transform the stern into a broad waterfront lounge where guests can swim, dine, relax or launch watersports directly from the platform. Few yachts of this size offer such a large uninterrupted entertaining area so close to the water.

The design encourages a more informal style of living than many traditional superyachts. With the aft doors open, the main saloon and Oasis Deck® merge into a single social space that adapts easily throughout the day, from breakfast by the water to evening entertaining under the open sky.
