Sunseeker noted that the leadership change comes as the company prepares for its next phase of growth. The announcement follows confirmation in November 2025 that the shipyard will receive new capital investment from its lenders, Cheyne Capital and Cross Ocean Partners, to strengthen its financial position and support ongoing development.
While a formal search takes place for the next permanent CEO, Scott Millar of Teneo Financial Advisory has been appointed Interim CEO, effective from the week commencing 8 December 2025.
The model innovations introduced during Frabettis tenure
Andrea Frabetti joined Sunseeker in 2018 as Chief Technical Officer and became CEO in July 2019. His tenure coincided with one of the most significant periods of product expansion in the shipyards modern history. Under his leadership, Sunseeker invested heavily in research and development, restructured its production processes and introduced multiple new models across its portfolio.
Among the most notable launches were the 90 Ocean, which introduced a new high volume design philosophy, and the follow up Ocean 156 and Ocean 182 models. He also oversaw the arrival of the Sunseeker 100 Yacht, the Manhattan 55 and the revival of the Superhawk line with the Superhawk 55. The Manhattan 55 became one of the standout successes of this era, earning a YachtBuyer 5 Star Score after we reviewed it and securing a place in the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame for its balance of performance, design and liveability.

Several new models were also announced during this period but have not yet reached launch, including the Sunseeker 120 Yacht, the 135 Yacht and the Ocean 460. These forthcoming projects form part of the shipyards expanded superyacht strategy and signal its ambition to move further into the one hundred foot plus sector.
In his departing statement, Andrea Frabetti said, It has been an honour to lead at Sunseeker International during what has been a pivotal time for the business and the wider sector. Following the recent new financing to strengthen Sunseekers financial position and support ongoing operations, now is the right time for me to step down. I leave the business in safe hands and look forward to seeing its continued success.
A stable platform for future growth
Frabettis departure comes shortly after Sunseeker secured a significant capital injection from Cheyne Capital and Cross Ocean Partners. The funding provides the shipyard with a stable platform for long term growth as it works to deliver its global order book and progress its next wave of product development, including expansion within the superyacht sector.
Interim leadership under Scott Millar
Scott Millar brings more than twenty seven years of experience working with luxury brands across Europe, the United States and the United Kingdom. His background includes roles in both the automotive and yacht sectors. As Senior Managing Director and Head of the Global Corporate division at Teneo Financial Advisory, he will guide the business during the transition period.
