On Deck
The Horizon RP122 has an deck layout with carefully arranged guest and utility zones across every level. Aft, the cockpit features a rise-up coffee station, stern docking controls, and fridge - making it a natural spot for morning coffee or drinks on arrival. It links directly to the galley for easy service.
The bow sunpad zone includes a forward hot tub, with large lounging areas and a crank-up dining table hidden under the central cushions. Anchor winches and mooring gear sit cleanly under flush deck hatches.
On the flybridge, there’s a full-service bar with mosaic-style finishes, refrigeration, sink, and one of three onboard wine coolers. Aft, a projector screen drops from the hardtop to create an outdoor cinema. Nearby, a crane handles up to three personal watercraft.
The upper helm area includes a daybed, casual seating, and full repeaters for the helm controls. Just forward, the bridge offers five multifunction displays, FLIR camera, autopilot tiller, fuel management, and system monitoring - all with excellent visibility.
Down at water level, the beach club is a lovely full-beam space with folding sides, refrigeration, icemaker, sink, water sports stowage, and TV lift. A Williams jet tender fits in the garage, with a large lift-up door. There's even a beach-level day heads with a shower for rinsing off after swimming.
Interior Accommodation
The saloon of the RP122 continues Horizon’s shift toward brighter, modern interiors. There’s still wood in the floors and trims, but lighter upholstered wall panels and subtle backlighting dominate. A false skylight effect above gives the illusion of natural daylight thanks to integrated lighting.
Lighting scenes - day, night, cozy, party - are controlled via presets. One TV drops from the ceiling, another doubles as wall art. A day heads is tucked just inside the entry, and there's a concealed sideboard for AV equipment.
The dining area can be closed off with a ceiling-mounted privacy screen. It includes a self-playing piano with a learning app - one of the more unusual yacht features. The space leads directly to the crew domain and galley via a discrete service door.
The galley is large and well equipped, with full-size oven, hob, dishwasher, fridges, and pull-out pantry drawers. There’s another wine cooler here too. The layout suits both professional and owner use.
Owner's Cabin
Forward on the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite includes three walk-in wardrobes, a large bed facing a flat-screen display (also used for artwork), and a dressing table. A concealed coffee machine and fridge rise from cabinetry - a proper gadget-lovers' touch. Audio from the saloon’s piano plays through cabin speakers.
The suite gets natural light via a skylight near the bow and large hull windows. Lighting is built into the ceiling and mirrors. The ensuite is finished with a rainfall shower, wand, and vanity lighting, plus two more walk-in wardrobes. The toilet compartment is fully enclosed for privacy.
Guest Accommodation
On the lower deck, there’s a second owner-grade VIP cabin with its own massive walk-in wardrobe, AV system, dressing table, and ensuite. The finish mirrors the main suite in comfort and space - ideal for co-charters or long-term guests.
Two additional guest cabins mirror each other amidships. Both include large hull windows, full-size wardrobes, storage drawers under the bed, and individual air conditioning controls. Each has a private ensuite with sliding pocket door, separate shower, and enclosed toilet.
A discreet guest-use washer/dryer is located near the cabins for convenience, separate from the main laundry in the crew zone.
Crew Accommodation
Crew access is via the galley. There’s a mess with fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and camera system access. The captain’s cabin is a standout - full-size, with hanging lockers and an ensuite with enclosed shower.
Two more twin crew cabins sit forward, each with storage, hanging lockers and separate shower ensuites. The main laundry facilities are located in a central space just aft of the forward cabins.
Performance
The engine room is accessed off the lower guest corridor and is as tidy and well-finished as the rest of the yacht. Twin Caterpillar C32B diesels produce 2,400hp each, delivering 20 knots top speed. Class cruise is around 17 knots, while economical cruise at 10 knots offers nearly 2,000 nautical miles of range.
Engine bays are nicely lit, clean and spacious, with underlit name-badged blocks, fire suppression systems, battery chargers, ventilation, air conditioning units, dual gensets, and a watermaker. There’s even a workbench and tool chest - the kind of detail engineers appreciate.
In Summary
The Horizon RP122 offers a full-package layout in a 122ft (32m) hull - from a big beach club with tender garage and open-air cinema on the flybridge, to a main deck owner’s suite with gadgetry, lighting control, and massive volume. Four ensuite guest cabins include a second owner-grade VIP, while crew areas match in quality and layout. Twin 2,400hp Caterpillar C32Bs deliver 20 knots flat out, 17-knot cruise, and long-range capability at 10 knots. Every area feels properly sized, well detailed, and tailored for extended private cruising or high-end charter.
Ownership Considerations
Owning a yacht like the Horizon RP122, with a potential price of $19.5 million, typically incurs annual running costs in the range of 10-12% of its value. That places the yearly operating budget between $1.95 million and $2.3 million. This figure covers full-time crew salaries for a team of 5-6, fuel for the twin 2,400 hp Caterpillar C32B engines, dockage in marinas, comprehensive insurance, and ongoing maintenance. Fuel usage alone is significant given the yacht’s 20-knot top speed and long-range cruising capability. Dockage and insurance costs vary by region, but they scale with the yacht’s length and class. The RP122 sits alongside comparable models such as the Westport 125, Sanlorenzo SD126, and Benetti Oasis 34M in this segment, all of which fall within similar cost brackets for ownership and operation.
The RP122’s design helps balance these costs through charter potential and efficient operation. With two full-beam owner-grade cabins and a total of four ensuite guest cabins, it suits both private family use and commercial charter without compromise. Horizon’s semi-custom platform also allows owners to align interior layout and equipment with their cruising intentions - whether they plan to base the yacht in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, or undertake transits between both. Well-organized engineering spaces and access points reduce maintenance hassle and downtime, which helps hold running costs in check over the long term.
