Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.6m beam and a 3.35m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,268 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2019. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2024.

Exterior Design

Asia is a 61m (200.13ft) full-displacement superyacht built by Royal Hakvoort, with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design and exterior styling developed in collaboration with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. The profile balances large interior volume with clean, controlled lines, so the yacht maintains an elegant appearance despite her 1,268GT internal capacity.

The bow carries a classic raked form that leads into a broad foredeck, while the superstructure steps upward across multiple levels as the lines sweep aft in a gentle arc. High bulwarks were requested by the owners to improve safety when cruising long distances, and a grey cap along the top edge softens their visual height while refining the yacht’s overall silhouette.

Glazing plays a major role in the design. Around 220m² (2,368sqft) of glass are integrated into the superstructure, allowing natural light to reach deep into the interior spaces while also opening views across the sea from multiple decks. Achieving the right balance required repeated modelling of the exterior lines so the glass areas would not create visual heaviness.

Deck spaces are arranged across several levels to maximise outdoor use. The bridge deck aft provides a relaxed lounge area that sits directly outside the gym, while the sundeck forms the yacht’s main outdoor social space. Here a glass-sided spa pool holding around 6,600 litres sits forward, surrounded by sunpads and seating areas, while retractable shade structures allow the space to adapt throughout the day.

Below, the lower deck opens onto a recessed beach club positioned close to the waterline. Opening terraces to port, starboard and aft allow the space to connect directly with the sea while also bringing natural light and ventilation into the area when the yacht is at anchor.

Asia has with six ensuite staterooms, a beach club, panoramic gym, and luxe wellness amenities for 12 guests.

Interior Design

The interior of Asia was created by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, with the concept built around the idea of a yacht that functions as a true long-term home. The owners worked closely with the design team, so the interiors combine Sinot’s restrained architectural approach with a more expressive palette of colours and textures.

Colour plays a central role in shaping the atmosphere of the yacht. Bright accents appear in fabrics, tiles and decorative elements, while darker ziricote wood joinery and neutral materials anchor the design so the spaces remain balanced and calm.

The layout centres on a large vertical atrium that links the decks. A sculptural installation of glass globes rises through the staircase core, created by Preciosa, while a lift connects all levels and supports easy movement throughout the yacht.

Large windows bring daylight into the main saloon and upper lounges, while integrated lighting hidden within architectural details ensures the interiors remain visually calm even at night. Both the main deck and owner’s deck include bars and flexible seating arrangements, allowing spaces to shift easily between family use and larger gatherings.

The bridge deck gym sits aft and is equipped with TechnoGym equipment, so guests can exercise while enjoying panoramic sea views. Entertainment features are distributed discreetly across the yacht as well, including hidden television screens and a karaoke system located in the beach club.

Accommodation

Asia accommodates up to 12 guests across six ensuite staterooms, with the layout designed to maximise privacy and access to shared amenities.

The owner’s apartment occupies the forward section of the owner’s deck and benefits from wide panoramic windows that wrap around the suite. The bedroom is arranged around a suspended king-size bed positioned to face the sea, while the suite also includes an office, twin bathrooms, generous storage and a private lounge area. A beauty salon forms part of the owner’s private space, while a foredeck terrace outside includes a Jacuzzi and a small seating area for private outdoor use.

A second large suite sits on the main deck and includes its own private lounge area, while a spacious VIP suite is also located forward. Both are finished to the same standard as the owner’s accommodation.

Four additional guest cabins are arranged on the lower deck. Each suite includes large windows, distinctive colour accents and ensuite bathrooms with rainfall showers. These cabins connect directly to the beach club area, allowing guests to move easily between their accommodation and the wellness facilities near the water.

Crew accommodation supports up to 18 crew, with eight crew cabins and a crew mess located on the lower deck as well as a dedicated captain’s cabin on the bridge deck. Separate stairways allow crew to move efficiently around the yacht without crossing guest areas.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel-electric Caterpillar (3512E) 1,810hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht Asia is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 130,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,800 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Wellness

Asia boasts a spacious gym on the bridge deck, providing panoramic 270° views, along with a tranquil massage parlor, a fully-equipped hospital room, and a luxurious sauna nestled within the beach club. Additionally, there is a beauty salon on the owner’s deck for guests' convenience and relaxation.
