Kalm is a 67.2m motor yacht delivered by Dutch shipyard Damen Yachting in 2014. Her naval architecture, interior and exterior has been penned by the Damen Yachting design team.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and a steel / aluminium superstructure she features a 11.2m beam and a 4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,143 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
This was the sixty-seventh yacht built on the YS 6711 design. Launched in November 2013 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in January 2014.
Exterior Design
Motor yacht Kalm is a 67.2m (220.5ft) Damen Yacht Support vessel whose design puts capability ahead of convention. Built on Damen's proven Sea Axe platform, she has a vertical axe bow, a commercial-style superstructure pushed well forward and a vast open working deck aft. The military grey hull, white superstructure and clean, angular lines give her the look of an offshore support ship rather than a traditional superyacht, yet every part of the profile serves a clear purpose.
Damen developed the Yacht Support range as owners began carrying ever larger collections of tenders, helicopters, submarines and dive gear. Instead of sacrificing guest space aboard the mothership, the support vessel carries the equipment, workshops and specialist facilities needed for extended cruising. Kalm, a sistership to Garçon, helped establish that concept and remains one of the best-known examples of the class.
Originally delivered as 6711, she later became Dapple before becoming Wingman, the support vessel to Mark Zuckerberg's Feadship Launchpad. IN late 2025, she entered a new chapter as Kalm, supporting Nancy Walton Laurie's 110.1m (361.2ft) Oceanco Kaos. If the names are anything to go by, Kaos creates the excitement and Kalm clears up afterwards.
Her expansive aft deck is designed as a flexible working platform rather than a leisure space, with room for large tenders, watercraft and even a submarine. A fully commercial helideck supports helicopters up to 4,850kg, while a 21-tonne Heila telescopic crane handles heavy lifting duties. High bulwarks forward give way to a lower aft deck for easy launch and recovery operations, and the uncluttered layout keeps equipment handling efficient whether at anchor or alongside.
Interior Design
Unlike a conventional superyacht, Kalm's interior is built around specialist operations rather than guest entertainment. British designer Mark Berryman softened the commercial character with warm materials and carefully finished crew spaces, while keeping every area practical for extended expeditions. The bridge lounge combines a full 180° view with bespoke furniture and European oak cabinetry, giving senior crew a comfortable planning space close to the wheelhouse.
The dive centre is among the yacht's most impressive facilities. Finished with teak panelling, it includes a bespoke briefing table, dedicated equipment storage and a built-in decompression chamber, with a level of capability more commonly found aboard military support vessels. Elsewhere, a fully equipped workshop allows engineers to maintain tenders, toys and onboard systems without relying on shoreside facilities, while a professional galley, generous crew mess and onboard gym support long periods away from port.
Accommodation
As a support yacht, Kalm is configured entirely for crew rather than guests. She accommodates up to 20 crew, including the captain, across 13 ensuite cabins arranged over the main and lower decks.
The accommodation reflects the specialist nature of her role. Senior officers, engineers, dive technicians, security staff, helicopter personnel and submersible crew each have dedicated cabins, allowing Kalm to support complex operations independently of the mothership. Every cabin has its own ensuite bathroom, while the generous crew lounge, mess and recreational areas provide comfortable living space during extended deployments.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by four MTU 16V 4000 M63L diesel engines producing 3,046hp each, Kalm reaches a top speed of 21 knots and cruises comfortably at around 13.5 knots. Her 8,720-nautical-mile range, calculated with a 20% fuel reserve, allows her to accompany a mothership across oceans without frequent refuelling.
Damen's Sea Axe hull plays a major role in that capability. Rather than riding over waves like a conventional bow, its narrow vertical form cuts through them, reducing pitching and slamming in rough conditions while maintaining speed and fuel efficiency. Quantum zero-speed stabilisers improve comfort at anchor, while twin 150kW Veth bow thrusters provide precise handling during close-quarters manoeuvres and tender operations.
Tenders
Kalm is designed to carry equipment that would overwhelm the garage of even the largest superyachts. Her expansive working deck can transport large tenders, jet skis, dive equipment and expedition gear, with space reserved for a submarine when required. A fully rotating 21-tonne Heila HLRM 140-5S telescopic crane launches and recovers heavy loads with ease.
The yacht also carries a fully commercial helideck certified for helicopters up to 4,850kg, allowing aircraft operations independent of the mothership. A built-in dive store, professional decompression chamber and dedicated workshop turn Kalm into a self-contained expedition platform capable of supporting diving, scientific work and remote cruising.
