Following its sale earlier this year, the yacht is currently being built at the Italian yard’s facilities under the Palumbo Superyachts group. The superyacht is scheduled for delivery in 2028.
A new Gran Turismo platform takes shape
The 68-meter superyacht project continues the shipyard’s focus on long-range capability paired with a performance-led profile. The yacht features a steel hull with an aluminum superstructure, a configuration selected to support ocean-going range while maintaining a relatively low, dynamic silhouette.
Exterior design has been developed by Vallicelli Design, whose work builds on ISA’s established visual language. Key identifiers include the arched structural elements that visually link the three decks and a circular dining area on the main deck, a hallmark detail of the Gran Turismo series.
The design direction draws inspiration from ISA’s earlier large custom yachts, including the 66.4-meter Okto delivered in 2014, with an emphasis on clean surfaces, strong proportions, and restrained detailing rather than overt ornamentation.
Interior concept by Enrico Gobbi
Interior architecture has been entrusted to Team for Design – Enrico Gobbi, with a brief centered on flexibility and owner-led customization. While full interior details remain under wraps, the general arrangement reflects a balance between private owner spaces and social areas intended for extended cruising.
Accommodation is arranged for up to 14 guests across seven cabins. Three guest suites are positioned on the main deck, including two double cabins and a full-beam owner’s suite located forward. The owner’s area has been designed to take full advantage of the yacht’s maximum beam, prioritizing privacy and separation from guest circulation.
Four additional guest cabins are located on the lower deck, comprising three doubles and one twin, all with en-suite bathrooms. Crew accommodation is arranged for 14 personnel across eight cabins, supporting the yacht’s intended long-range and charter-ready capability.
Exterior spaces shaped around sea access
A central theme of the 68-meter Gran Turismo is its emphasis on outdoor living and close contact with the water. At beach club level, opening side platforms extend the usable footprint of the yacht, forming a multi-use wellness area that includes a gym, spa facilities, and lounge seating arranged directly at sea level.
Aft, the motor yacht features a large swimming pool that acts as a focal point for the exterior deck layout. This area is framed by social seating and circulation space, designed to function equally well at anchor or while underway in calm conditions. The arrangement supports both private use and guest entertaining without compromising operational flow.
Power comes from twin MTU 12V4000M65L engines, each producing 1,771 kW. The propulsion package is expected to deliver a top speed of 17.5 knots, with a cruising speed of 14 knots. At cruising speed, the yacht is projected to offer a range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles, positioning it firmly in the long-range cruising category.
Flagship builds at the top of ISA’s order book
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, ISA Yachts currently has 13 yachts under construction. Two projects stand out for both scale and ambition, setting the upper boundary of the shipyard’s current build program. At the top sits the first ISA 100 superyacht, scheduled for delivery in 2029 and set to become the largest yacht ever built by the yard. With a displacement steel hull, aluminum superstructure, and a volume of 2,999 GT, the project signals a clear step into the highest tier of full-custom construction. Accommodation is arranged for 12 guests, anchored by a private owner’s deck, supported by a crew of 31.
Just below it is the 80-meter ISA Continental 80, due in 2028. With a gross tonnage of 2,300 GT, the yacht offers long-range credentials with a 6,200-nautical-mile range at 12 knots, alongside features such as an upper-deck owner’s suite, touch-and-go helipad, and a full-beam stern infinity pool. Together, these two yachts define the upper end of ISA’s current portfolio, highlighting the yard’s growing confidence in delivering complex, large-scale custom projects.
The ISA Continental 80 is on the market with Palumbo Yachts and is currently asking €95,000,000.
With the keel now laid, the 68-meter Gran Turismo moves from concept into active construction, reinforcing ISA Yachts’ focus on full-custom, long-range platforms with clear design continuity. Set against a growing order book, the project sits within a broader push toward larger, more complex yachts ahead of its planned 2028 delivery.
