Second Damen Xplorer 60 expedition yacht sold ahead of 2028 delivery

Damen Yachting has announced the sale of the second Xplorer 60 expedition yacht, with the owner, represented by TWW Yachts, planning to use the yacht for private expeditions while supporting scientific research in remote parts of the world.

Designed by Azure Yacht Design, with interiors by H2 Yacht Design and naval architecture by Damen Yachting, the 1,160GT Damen Xplorer 60 builds on the success of the first hull, After You, delivered in 2025.

The Xplorer 60's interiors, created by H2 Yacht Design, balance practical expedition requirements with contemporary luxury. Large windows throughout the guest areas maximise natural light and views, while a warm, understated material palette creates a comfortable environment for extended time onboard. A forward observation lounge beneath the bridge is one of the yacht's defining features.

The design has already received industry recognition. The first Xplorer 60, After You, won the Explorer category at the Robb Report Best of the Best Awards 2026, while the model was also recognised at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2026 with finalist nominations for Best New Series and Best Interior Design for motor yachts over 1,000GT.

Among her standout features are a certified helideck, a dedicated Expedition Centre for tenders and equipment, and an elevated crow's nest that provides uninterrupted views during offshore passages. Around 1,850 square metres of deck space offers the flexibility needed for exploration, water sports and extended cruising.

Power comes from a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system pairing twin MTU diesel engines with electric motors. The yacht delivers a range of around 5,500 nautical miles in conventional operation, extending to approximately 10,000 nautical miles in hybrid mode, making her well suited to transoceanic passages and remote destinations.
