The move from yard to water involved a coordinated effort from the shipyard team and sets the stage for upcoming sea trials.
A Fresh Take on the Wajer 55
The new Wajer 55 continues to serve as the entry-level model in the builder’s 55 range. Built with a GRP hull and superstructure, it is powered by three Volvo Penta D6-IPS600 engines, reaching a top speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots, with a range of 390 nautical miles.

On deck, the yacht features an asymmetrical layout that prioritizes space and functionality. Two dining tables and premium seating are positioned for social use, while a flush deck design allows for flexible arrangements when entertaining or relaxing. The helm station has been redesigned with a minimalist dashboard and ergonomically styled captain’s chairs, complemented by a wraparound windshield for improved comfort underway.

Below deck, the boat includes a master cabin with a double bed, a second cabin, a galley, and a bathroom, all styled with warm finishes and practical storage solutions.
Updates on the Redesigned Wajer 55
The new Wajer 55 is not a facelift of the first-generation Wajer 55 but a redevelopment with several notable changes:
-
Revised deck layout - The introduction of an asymmetrical configuration with two tables and a higher seating position creates a more sociable and functional space.
-
Redesigned helm - A minimalist dashboard and updated captain’s chairs improve ergonomics and driving comfort.

-
Adjusted performance - The updated version reaches a top speed of 38 knots, slightly lower than the Mk1’s 40 knots, and has a range of 390 nautical miles versus 450.
-
Longer hull - The yacht now measures 16.8 meters, compared to 16 meters on the previous version.
-
New practical features - Integrated cleats and an extendable swim platform have been added for easier mooring and better water access.
The Wajer 55 Range Explained
According to YachtBuyer Market Watch, the largest yacht database in the world, there are currently two other models in the Wajer 55 range. This includes the 55S and 55HT, two variants that cater to different cruising preferences while sharing the same proven performance.
The Wajer 55S is the sportiest option, lighter and faster than the new 55, with a center-console layout that creates more deck space and storage for water sports gear. It can exceed 40 knots and is popular as a chase boat or for adventurous day trips.

The Wajer 55HT shares the same performance but adds a hardtop with a sliding roof for extra shade and shelter. With room for up to six guests, it offers a more private cruising experience while retaining the open feel at the bow and stern.

Both models remain 16 meters long, with a 40-knot top speed and 450-nautical-mile range, while the new Wajer 55 focuses on a longer hull, asymmetrical deck layout, and updated onboard features.
