More DetailsAli Baba is a 49.95m motor yacht for sale delivered by Italian shipyard ISA Yachts in 2011. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Andrea Vallicelli, while Francesco Paszkowski Design has designed her interiors.
Key Features
- Swim platform with beach club feel
- Signature ISA "twin staircase" design
- Two full-beam master suites
- Expansive sundeck with all-round views
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.6m beam and a 2.55m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in July 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
The 49.95m (163.9ft) Ali Baba has a long, flowing profile with sweeping deck lines, dark glazing and a low superstructure that stretches cleanly from bow to stern. Designed by Andrea Vallicelli, the yacht mixes classic ISA styling with softer curves around the aft decks and upper structure, while the sharp bow and elongated hull windows help give the yacht a lighter look on the water despite her substantial 498GT volume.
The white hull and superstructure contrast against the continuous dark glass sections, so the profile feels lighter and lower than its actual size. From above, the deck arrangement shows how much usable exterior space has been built into the yacht, particularly around the foredeck lounge areas and expansive sundeck.
One of the defining features is ISA’s twin staircase layout at the stern. Separate staircases connect the swim platform directly to the aft decks and sundeck, which allows guests to move easily throughout the yacht without interrupting dining or lounge areas. Large curved glass doors open directly onto the swim platform, creating a beach club atmosphere with close access to the water and watersports equipment.
The aft deck dining space keeps guests connected to the swim platform below, while the upper decks become progressively more open and private. The sundeck itself offers large open lounging areas with space for sunbeds, workouts and relaxed entertaining, all with uninterrupted views across the water.
Interior Design
Francesco Paszkowski designed the interiors around rich materials, warm tones and understated Italian styling rather than excessive decoration. Across the yacht, grooved oak panelling and flamed Brazilian rosewood create a consistent visual flow, while carefully chosen furniture pieces soften the darker wood finishes.
The main salon combines formal and relaxed spaces within one open layout. Flamed rosewood flooring defines the lounge area, which includes Armani Casa seating arranged around a low table, while the adjacent dining area shifts to Travertino marble flooring beneath a Flos chandelier. Leather dining chairs by Matteo Grassi add another layer of Italian design influence without making the room feel overly formal.
Large side windows bring strong natural light into the guest areas and also help balance the darker timber finishes. The overall atmosphere feels warm and residential, particularly in the salon and upper lounge spaces.
On the upper deck, the panoramic skylounge works as a dedicated media and entertainment area with a home cinema screen, integrated hi-fi sound system and generous seating.
Accommodation
Ali Baba accommodates up to 12 guests across six cabins, with one of the yacht’s biggest strengths being the inclusion of two full-beam master suites. The main deck owner’s suite offers generous volume and privacy, while the upper deck master adds its own hammam, creating a more spa-like private retreat.
Four additional guest cabins sit on the lower deck and complete the 12-guest layout. The arrangement gives the yacht good flexibility for family cruising or charter use, with clear separation between the principal suites and guest accommodation.
The cabins continue the same warm material palette found throughout the yacht, using wood panelling, soft lighting and large windows where possible to avoid a closed-in feeling. The full-beam layouts in the master suites especially benefit from the yacht’s 8.6m (28.2ft) beam, which creates noticeably wider living spaces than many yachts in this size range.
Crew accommodation is arranged for up to 9 or 10 crew across five cabins, allowing the yacht to maintain strong service levels during extended cruising or busy guest operations.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512C) 1,650hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Ali Baba is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 85,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down. Ali Baba also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
