WATCH: Second ISA Viper 130 Yacht Enters Construction Ahead of 2028 Delivery

ISA Yachts has moved ahead with the second ISA Viper 130 motor yacht, confirming construction has begun on the 39m yacht built on spec at Palumbo Superyachts’ Ancona facility, with delivery scheduled for March 2028.

ISA Yachts’ decision to proceed with a speculative second hull signals confidence in the ISA Viper 130 platform, which was first unveiled in May 2024 and positioned as a fast, shallow-draft yacht with a strong focus on outdoor living and visual connection to the water.

The announcement follows steady progress on the first ISA Viper 130 yacht, which has been sold to an American owner, is currently in build at the same yard, and is set to launch this summer ahead of a public debut later in 2026.

Composite construction and shallow-draft profile

The ISA Viper 130 is built with a planing composite and carbon-fiber hull, measuring 38.8 meters in length with a 7.85-meter beam. Draft is kept to just 1.55 meters, a figure that opens access to cruising grounds often restricted to smaller yachts. Naval engineering has been developed in-house by the yard, while both exterior and interior design are led by Fulvio De Simoni.

The model sits firmly in ISA’s performance-led segment, pairing a low, aggressive profile with a layout that prioritizes usable exterior space over enclosed volume. Construction of the second hull mirrors the specification of the first, giving prospective buyers a clear reference point in terms of layout, performance, and delivery timeline.

A three-level cockpit

One of the defining features of the Viper 130 is its three-level cockpit arrangement, which creates a stepped sequence of outdoor spaces moving up from the waterline. At the lowest level, a beach area sits directly at sea level and incorporates a transformer platform fitted with a swim ladder and gangway. This zone is intended as a true waterside hub, rather than a secondary boarding point.

Two lateral steps lead up to the mid-level cockpit, where a large aft-facing sunpad is paired with a lounge area arranged around sofas and a coffee table. On either side, opening balconies extend the usable beam over the water, widening the space and reinforcing the open character of the yacht for sale.

The upper cockpit level is dedicated to alfresco dining, with a table sized for up to twelve guests. Positioned above the beach club and lounge areas, this tier benefits from clear sightlines aft while remaining closely connected to the main deck interior.

Light-filled saloon with asymmetrical side decks

Inside, the motor yacht for sale continues the emphasis on openness and light. A second bar leads into the main saloon, which is arranged around semi-circular sofas, armchairs, and a round dining table seating ten guests. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and opening windows bring in natural light from multiple angles, reducing the sense of enclosure often found on yachts of this size.

To increase interior width, the forward side deck is retained only on the port side. This asymmetrical arrangement frees up additional volume within the saloon, while an opening balcony amidships ensures that views and fresh air remain part of the experience even when inside.

Guest accommodation on board the superyacht for sale is arranged on the lower deck for up to ten guests across five en-suite cabins. The owner’s suite includes two separate bathrooms with a large central shower, setting it apart from the remaining guest cabins in both scale and layout.

Carbon-topped sundeck

Forward, the bow area is set up as a dedicated relaxation zone, centered on a circular pool surrounded by sunpads and sofas. Positioned well clear of operational areas, this space is intended for quiet use at anchor or while cruising at low speeds.

Above, the sundeck is protected by a carbon hardtop and includes a second helm station. Guest amenities here include two large aft sunpads, a lounge area with sofas, an L-shaped bar, and a dining table capable of seating up to ten guests. The layout is designed as a self-contained outdoor deck that can be used independently from the main social areas below.

Performance and waterjet setup

Power comes from three MAN engines, each rated at 2,200 horsepower, paired with two waterjets and an MJP booster. This setup gives the Viper 130 a claimed top speed of 35 knots, placing it firmly in the upper tier of performance for yachts in this size range. A five-meter tender garage is also located on the starboard side, providing dedicated storage without disrupting the aft beach layout.

A five-meter tender garage is located on the starboard side, providing dedicated storage without disrupting the aft beach layout. The shallow draft, high-speed capability, and extensive outdoor spaces position the Viper 130 as a yacht aimed at owners who prioritize dynamic cruising and open-air living over long-range displacement operation.

Larger projects in the ISA Yachts' pipeline

According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, ISA Yachts has several significantly larger projects now under construction. Among them is the 80-meter Project Future, the first build on the GranTurismo 80 platform, due for delivery in 2027. Designed inside and out by Team For Design with naval architecture by Palumbo Group, the 2,250 GT displacement yacht features an upper-deck owner’s suite linked directly to a forward infinity pool, along with a gym overlooking the sea.

Also in build is the first 68-meter Gran Turismo 68M, known as superyacht K3, which formally entered construction with a keel-laying ceremony in February 2026. Scheduled for delivery in 2028, K3 pairs exterior design by Vallicelli Design with interiors by Team For Design and offers long-range capability of up to 5,000 nautical miles.

Looking further ahead, ISA Yachts is also progressing with the first ISA 100 superyacht, due in 2029. With a projected volume of 2,999 GT, the displacement yacht signals the yard’s continued move toward higher-volume, large-scale custom construction.

With the second hull now underway and the first approaching launch, the ISA Viper 130 is transitioning from concept to active series production. The start of an on-spec build also gives the market a clear opportunity to secure a late-2020s delivery slot without committing to a full custom timeline.
