Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.75m beam and a 1.93m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 155 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Calm is a 29.1m (95.6ft) Sanlorenzo SL96, designed by Francesco Paszkowski, with a GRP hull and a beam of 6.75m (22.2ft). Her profile follows the clean, low-slung lines typical of the SL series, with long bands of dark glazing set into a white superstructure. The hull carries a soft metallic silver-grey tone, which gives the yacht a slightly warmer and more tailored look than a flat white finish.
The raised pilothouse profile keeps the main deck focused on guest use, while the upper structure steps back cleanly into the flybridge. The glazing runs almost continuously along the main deck, which helps define the yacht’s length and keeps the profile visually low.
The aft deck is shaded by the flybridge overhang and arranged as an outdoor dining space with a built-in sofa and table. Side decks lead forward to a bow lounge, where a fixed sofa and table create a quieter seating area with open views.
Up top, the flybridge is protected by a hardtop with additional sunshades. It carries a full social setup with a bar, grill, dining table and large sofa, along with open lounging areas aft. Access comes from both the aft deck and the pilothouse, so movement between decks works well.
At the stern, a broad swim platform sits just above the waterline, giving easy access for swimming and tender use. The overall layout keeps outdoor spaces simple and usable, with clear separation between dining, lounging and circulation.
Interior Design
The interior is designed by Laura Sessa and uses darker wood tones with a warmer, more contemporary feel than many yachts in this class. The main saloon is arranged with a sofa and loose seating, while the formal dining table can fold in two, so the space can shift between dining and open lounge use.
A key practical detail is the crew passage on the starboard side, linking the pantry and pilothouse. This allows service to run without crossing guest areas, which helps keep the main deck calm and private. Portside access leads directly into the owner’s suite.
The raised pilothouse sits forward and above the main deck, keeping navigation separate and leaving the main deck free for guest living.
Accommodation
Calm accommodates up to 9 guests in four suites and 4 crew. The owner’s cabin is on the main deck and features a forward-facing bed, which is an unusual layout for this model and opens up the room more evenly. The cabin also includes a large wardrobe and en suite.
On the lower deck, the layout includes a full-beam VIP cabin forward, along with one double cabin and one twin cabin. This gives a balanced setup for mixed groups or family use.
In addition to the guest cabins, there are two staff cabins that can accommodate up to four members of an owner’s team, separate from the four crew carried onboard.
Crew accommodation is arranged with access from the starboard side of the main deck, leading to the pantry, galley and crew mess, with two cabins on the lower deck.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V2000M84) 2,217hp engines, motor yacht Calm is capable of reaching a top speed of 28 knots, and comfortably cruises at 25 knots. With her 11,500 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,119 nautical miles. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
