Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.43m beam and a 2.85m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the 44X-Space design. Launched in March 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2023.
Exterior Design
La La Land is part of Sanlorenzo’s 44X-SPACE concept, a platform that blends the long-range intent of an explorer with the spatial openness of a contemporary lifestyle yacht. Her steel hull and forward-shifted superstructure create a long, low profile, while softer exterior lines set her apart from earlier, more rugged explorer models. The result is purposeful without looking heavy, with proportions tuned to balance volume and visual restraint.
The aft deck defines the yacht’s outdoor character. An 18sqm (193sqft) infinity pool forms the centrepiece, designed to disappear beneath a sliding seating platform. With the pool concealed, the deck becomes a clear, open working space capable of tender stowage, complete with a concealed crane sized for a 7.5m (24ft) tender. Fold-down balconies on both sides extend the usable beam and reinforce the deck’s flexible role, shifting easily between lounging, entertaining, cinema use, or expedition-style operations.
Two steps down from the aft deck, a sunken cockpit introduces a more sheltered outdoor zone. Set lower under the overhang of the upper deck, it provides privacy without separation, with direct sightlines to the waterline. Furnishings include a built-in sofa, loose chairs, and a curved Verde Alpi marble dining table. A concealed bar and DJ station sit behind a starboard-side cupboard, finished in matching marble, with dedicated ice machines built into the arrangement.
Glass bulwarks on the port side replace a full side deck, preserving uninterrupted views from inside while maintaining circulation externally. Sliding glass doors retract fully into the structure, allowing the cockpit and main saloon to merge into a single continuous space.
At sea level, the beach area expands laterally through folding side panels. This zone houses the gym and spa and connects directly to the water via a central opening staircase. Materials stay natural and restrained, with oak parquet floors, celino fabric, and resin-finished walls chosen to keep the space light and calm.
Above, the bridge deck introduces another outdoor living zone aft, protected by glass windbreaks. Here, an external dining area, galley, and lounge sit beneath an overhang, framed by bronzed mirrored surfaces that reflect light and sea tones. The sun deck crowns the yacht, arranged as an open-air terrace with loose sun loungers, casual seating, and uninterrupted 360° views.
Interior Design
Interior architecture for La La Land comes from Lissoni & Partners, under the direction of Piero Lissoni, with the brief centred on dissolving the boundary between inside and outside. The result is a light-filled interior defined by floor-to-ceiling glass, restrained finishes, and carefully managed transitions between spaces.
In the main saloon, three deep sofas sit within a full-height glass envelope, with uninterrupted views to port thanks to the asymmetrical deck layout and glazed bulwarks. Flooring is vertically planked wood, paired with natural-fibre rugs. Walls are finished in off-white resin, ceilings in soft fabric, and detailing layers in brass, smoked mirrors, and rich stone.
A central sculptural staircase anchors the interior. Designed as a helicoidal form, it links four decks and becomes a visual spine through the yacht. Vertically ribbed timber joinery wraps the stairwell and reappears throughout the interior, including sliding partitions and curved walls.
Forward on the main deck, a multifunctional lounge replaces a traditional dining room. This space converts between cinema, dining room, and gaming lounge, with a concealed 98-inch screen and adaptable furniture. The area benefits from uninterrupted sea views through expansive glazing, achieved by eliminating visible mullions through structural reinforcement within the exterior frame.
On the bridge deck aft, the interior and exterior blend again through a full outdoor galley and dining arrangement, seating up to ten guests. Inside, mirrored surfaces extend sightlines, while sliding glass panels allow the space to open fully when conditions allow.
Neutral tones, accented with blue textiles, artworks, and glass elements that echo the surrounding seascape make up most of the interior. Storage is integrated throughout, with lift-up tables, sliding sofa backs, concealed bars, and flush cabinetry all designed to keep spaces clear and adaptable.
Accommodation
La La Land is arranged over six decks with a total internal volume of 499 GT, allowing for an unconventional but highly personalised accommodation layout.
The entire upper deck is dedicated to the owner. Aft, a private lounge and office provide a quiet working and entertaining space, with sliding glass doors on three sides that open the room to the elements. An athwartships walk-in wardrobe connects this area to the en suite bathroom, allowing the owner’s cabin to sit fully forward.
The owner’s cabin features full-height glazing and an opening skylight, bringing light and airflow deep into the space. Forward sliding doors lead directly onto a private foredeck reserved solely for the owner, complete with sunpads and an integrated hydro-massage pool. Anchor equipment is concealed below deck, allowing this foredeck to remain visually clean and private even when moored.
The lower deck accommodates four guest cabins, arranged as two VIP doubles and two twin cabins, all with en suite bathrooms. Large-format portholes bring in natural light, while mirrored mullions minimise visual interruption where structural supports are required. En suite bathrooms share a consistent marble palette, with varied veining used to distinguish each space.
She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 1,301hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht La La Land is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots.
