The 39.2m motor yacht Marea was delivered to her owners in 2026 by Italian shipyard Mangusta. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Mangusta, while M2 Atelier is responsible for her interior design.

Key Features

  • Forward infinity pool with glass-bottom feature
  • Custom interiors developed by M2Atelier
  • Beach house with side terraces
  • Exterior design by Alberto Mancini

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.25m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 330 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fifth yacht built on the Oceano 39 design. Launched in March 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Marea is the fifth Mangusta Oceano 39, and Alberto Mancini’s exterior gives the 39m (127.9ft) displacement yacht a much lighter appearance than its 330GT volume might suggest. The profile is long and clean, with the superstructure kept visually low through broad bands of dark glazing and a gently rising sheer. Glazed bulwarks on the upper deck take more weight out of the sides, while the floor to ceiling windows on the main and upper decks can partially open to bring fresh air straight into the living spaces.

The stern is where the Oceano 39 starts to earn its keep. A beach house sits directly above the water, and side terraces open outward to increase the usable footprint once Marea is at anchor. Instead of leaving guests on a conventional swim platform, the arrangement creates a much broader waterside area with clear views out on both sides.

At the opposite end of the yacht, the foredeck carries one of the Oceano series’ most recognisable features. The infinity pool is set into the bow and incorporates a glass section in its base, so daylight passes through the water into the owner’s suite below. It is a clever bit of architecture because the pool is not simply sitting on top of the accommodation. The two spaces actually interact.

That connection between decks runs through the rest of the exterior as well. Large openings, glass bulwarks and wide windows keep sightlines open from inside, while the three deck layout gives Marea plenty of outside space without piling too much structure above the hull.

Interior Design

The interior design of Marea was developed by M2Atelier, the Milan-based studio known for residential-inspired yacht interiors.

Details of the layout remain private, although the design was tailored to the preferences of the yacht’s owner, an experienced cruiser described by the shipyard as a long-time participant in the yachting world.

Across the Oceano 39 platform, interior spaces are arranged to maximise daylight and outside views. Large windows along the main and upper decks introduce natural light throughout the living areas while maintaining a strong connection with the sea.

The overall concept focuses on a calm and contemporary atmosphere, with the design shaped around extended time on board as well as relaxed social spaces for guests.

Accommodation

Accommodation is arranged across the main and lower decks and supports the internal volume of approximately 330GT.

The owner’s suite is positioned forward, directly beneath the bow infinity pool. Light from the pool’s glass-bottom section filters down into the cabin below, creating a distinctive feature within the space.

Guest cabins are located on the lower deck and provide private accommodation for extended cruising. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 16-cylinder 2,600hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Marea is capable of reaching a top speed of 19 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots.
