Big Naan is a 42m expedition yacht due to be delivered by Italian shipyard Columbus Yachts in 2025. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Hydro Tec S.r.l., while Hot Lab has designed her interiors.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.34m beam and a 2.6m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 445 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the Crossover 42 design. Launched in May 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Big Naan belongs to the Columbus Crossover 42 line, with exterior styling by Hydro Tec. Her design embraces the bold, practical spirit of an explorer yacht, shaped around strong linear forms and prominent forward volume. A mix of angled and straight surfaces gives her a confident, modern presence on the water. The hull is a full displacement type, built in steel with a bulbous bow and flat, flared stern sections, paired with an aluminium superstructure.
This robust platform supports a highly adaptable cockpit, large enough to carry a substantial tender alongside a built-in crane set to starboard. There's also a 17 square meter (183 sq ft) swimming pool positioned aft, integrated into a layout designed for both entertaining and relaxation. The open deck plan allows for a mix of functional stowage and guest leisure spaces without compromising on volume.
On the sundeck, Big Naan provides additional space for socialising. As well as sunpads and lounging areas, there's a bar setup and a second table that can convert into a sunbed. Forward, a Portuguese bridge-style layout contributes to her purposeful look and utility.
The lower deck also includes a beach club, accessible via a hydraulic door offset to the right of the swim platform. This waterside lounge benefits from large side windows and a glass wall into the swimming pool, creating a bright, connected feel with the outdoors.
Interior Design
The interiors have been styled by Hot Lab, reflecting a refined, modern look grounded in practicality. While exact material choices have not been detailed, the approach focuses on clean lines and generous natural light, especially noticeable in the beach club, where the glass-sided pool adds an eye-catching feature and an ambient glow.
The dining area is arranged around a 12-seater table, designed to serve as a central hub for guests on board. The upper deck hosts the bridge, with the captain’s cabin located nearby for easy access. Crew movement and operational flow appear to have been well considered in the overall layout.
Interior inspiration draws from the idea of extended voyages and long stays aboard, with plenty of multifunctional zones and a calm, contemporary finish throughout.
Accommodation
Big Naan accommodates up to 10 guests in total. On the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite is arranged with a centrally positioned bed, wardrobe, desk, vanity area, and a generous en suite bathroom featuring two separate zones, one with a large walk-in shower. The design balances personal comfort with practical storage and working space.
Below deck, there are four additional guest cabins: three are configured as VIP suites, while the fourth is a convertible twin, able to function as a triple cabin thanks to a pullman berth. This setup allows for flexible guest arrangements depending on party size and needs.
The yacht supports a crew of up to nine. Crew accommodation is split into four twin cabins located on the lower deck, with a dedicated captain’s cabin positioned on the upper deck beside the wheelhouse.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 995hp engines, motor yacht Big Naan is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 60,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,500 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
